Loved every minute of it. The story and the story teller. Although, the ridiculous way he kept pronouncing Ankara made me grind my teeth.

Absolutely love the Not Alone Series. it could be real life. Narrater puts everything into the story and plays the characters well. a series with reading. getting book 5 now. cannot wait to get listening.

It has quite a focused narrative, it's not the kind of book with 6 subplots going at once. For some people that may be a criticism but I'm comfortable with it. At times the writing and the narration can feel robotic which helped get you in the headspace of the main protagonist. At times it feels unnecessarily clunky but there are some great moments too, especially around the dialogue.

The narrator does a great job giving each character their own voice as well as having a distinct narration voice.

Although I can sympathize with the criticisms I've seen in reviews, I still really love this series. Normally I listen to a couple of different books before returning back to the series but this one has got me hooked and I went straight to book 5

I didn’t see the twist coming, and whilst certainly not high brow literature this series is very entertaining with some very interesting concepts. I think a pretty good find all around. Sometimes reminds me of the popular sci-fi of the 50s and 60s .
