I’ve loved everything RR Haywood has written so far, listening to everything at least twice over. But this one just isn’t for me. Too chaotic. Narrator is very good though.

Such a rare thing to come across a completely unique concept. Brilliant and a brilliantly narrated too. Don’t be put off in the first couple of minutes, I won’t spoil the plot but I did spend a few minutes thinking that this wasn’t what I expected!! Shouldn’t have doubted!

Really odd and believable characters

I just wanted more really, Haywood is great at humour and friendship in a book but this took a while to get going. Then everything happened at once and it all got very meta.

At first I was dubious and wasn’t sure where the story was going but honestly the phase ‘trust the process’ couldn’t be more correct. The characters are awesome, and Haywood really creates a bond between you and them. The story is one with many levels and I cannot wait for the next book

Ok, so the first hour I was thinking to myself, “what the hell am I listening to!?” But then I just became totally enthralled in the characters and the story and was desperate to see where it took us. I am so glad I stuck with it as I absolutely loved it in the end. I’m really hoping there’s going to be a book 2 in the future!

When I first started reading this I thought is this an AI generated book in the style of RR Haywood then it starts to twig. Very clever and thoroughly enjoyed it loads of literature nods to various genres and stories.
