About this listen
Rex Walker always wanted to be like his father: a daring, adventurous man, traveling the world in pursuit of mysterious relics. Now Rex is the same age his father was when he disappeared without a trace.
While teaching anthropology at a Boston college, Rex attempts to bury the past, until he discovers a hidden clue he can’t ignore.
With the help of his sidekick Marcus, a former student turned protégé, he teams up with an alien-obsessed billionaire, and they search for the fabled Bridge.
As an unidentified object nears Pluto, speculation surges. Some hail it as the homecoming of a distant alien race, and this cult is unwavering in its efforts to usher our world into a new era.
Will Rex solve the puzzle before it’s too late? Find out in Lost Contact, the first installment of The Bridge Sequence by Nathan Hystad, the best-selling author of The Event.

Fantastic adventure!
This book is a terrific Sci-fi adventure with believable characters that you get behind from the first chapter.
Rex is a modern day Indiana Jones! The story races throughout the countries of the world, with a ever constant threat of the mysterious objects approaching Earth.
I loved the story and cannot wait until the next book!

Not horrible...
The story was good. I have actually listened to this twice because I finally got book 2 in the series and re-listened to this on so refresh myself. Ray Porter is a great narrator EXCEPT when it comes to female voices. I don't understand why men have to do the fake female valley girl voices. We do not sound that way. It was like listening to Jack Black imitating Bethany from the Jumanji movies. Comical and offputting.

Lost contact
I initially thought this was a time travel book. However the book is still interesting and I have the next two books in my library.
If you like treasure hunting and sci-fi then you’ll enjoy this book.
Great narration by ray Porter as ever.

good fun
a good fun story and a decent performance. The writing itself could have used some more editing I think to iron out some clichés in the style and one or two inconsistencies. A fun read though.
