About this listen
It’s amazing what the lack of immediate threat to one’s life and wellbeing can do for a person’s disposition. High risk, high reward endeavors suddenly seem far less appealing, month-long delays are no longer a cause for concern, and sleeping in every single day of the week becomes an extremely attractive proposition. Indeed, without a pressing need to aggressively expand its power, Boxxy T. Morningwood is finally able to simply sit back, enjoy life, and watch the world both turn and burn. Questions such as "Who started those fires?" and "Should I do something about them?" are answered with "Don’t know" and "Don’t care." Having finally achieved the slow life it never knew it wanted, Boxxy is quite unwilling to jeopardize its newfound safety for no good reason.
Of course, old habits die hard. Acquiring things of the tasty and/or shiny variety remain an enticing goal, as does the steady accumulation of power. Just because it no longer has the threat of death looming over it doesn’t mean that the once-mimic won’t take the occasional calculated risk in exchange for immense personal gain. Admittedly, developments outside its predictions will inevitably put carefully laid plans to waste, but that’s how it always has been and always will be. Boxxy will deal with those issues in the same manner it always has–with cunning ingenuity, brutal efficiency, and old-fashioned dumb luck. Despite what one might think, all three of those traits can be nurtured and improved, even something as seemingly unreliable as good fortune. Especially good fortune.
The time for the Hero of Chaos to get thrown about by the whims of fate is over, and it is now Boxxy’s turn to make the world bend to its will, starting with the savage orcs of the far south.

Amazing as always.
The character building and twists have got me hooked. Boxxys story is by far one of the most outrageous, random and funny books I've ever listened too.

Amazing book and narration
A most enjoyable book and and exceptional performance by the narrator's. I look forward to the next book in the series.
The mimic story was wonderful and a nice change. I thought Snek's voice was brilliant such expression achieved by the narrator.
The voice of Kaede was great such a sense on mischief and she stands out from the other characters.
There are so many interesting characters in this book I liked Gux and insight into Carl's job.
There are lots of humorous lines too like return the spoon such lines benefits from having versatile narration.
The music was well done and not too loud which is appreciated.

Here it comes, one of my favorite series!
Another amazing audiobook. I literally screamed in happiness when I stumbled upon it in my search for something good to listen. I've noticed that a new book is going to come after, which unfortunately it's not available yet.
The story keeps its MASTERPIECE title from the first book, and I'm so excited to see what is going to happen after. I hope the author keeps publishing his top notch work on this platform because it's more affordable for us, listeners, and I'm sure many audiobook lovers wouldn't get the chance to enjoy the author's works due to that inconvenience.
And narration... ah, yes... narration. Whenever I see Jeff Hays and Annie Ellicott's name narrating a book there's already 50% chances that book will be amazing.
If you ask why, that's because even if he (and most people he usually he does a partnership with) is one of the best out there, no manner of revive elixir, potion, skill or knowledge can revive an undead.
I've found many books which have interesting story but are bad narrated (monotone voice, no emotion, can't do multiple voices, barely any distinction between the narrative and character's voice), and I often though how good that book would've been if Jeff and his comrades would beat it to the punch :D
Anyways, keep the good work Mr Neven Iliev! We have great expectations from you!
P.S. Hehe. No pressure there, alright? :D
