In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one.
He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything.
Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game.
Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities.
With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job.
His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.
Surprisingly, not a whole lot changed. Politicians were still corrupt. Banks still held onto your money. And criminals still committed crime.
Though the black market has become more readily available.
And in that not-so-black market, Felix discovers he has a way to make his power useful after all, and grasps a hold of his chance with both hands.

Different almost litrpg but not. Funny & action

the concept of the story is good but I think it snowballs very quietly, but the story doesn't suffer from it.
the power the main character uses is over powered , I thought it was somewhat balanced until one scene. that being said if you have listened to the authors other works there is a theory that makes sense of it.
so recap good book , likeable characters , plenty of action and clever problem solving.
an interesting premise, with a lot of fun moments.

Other that that i enjoyed the book, not to fond or used to time skipping parts though, "will fix that and this on the agenda", now it's taken care of time to...but was enough coverage to make it sustainable.

In all I would definitely recommend this book, it's exciting, the characters have some great personalities and the concept is just a brilliant idea.

It's very dark in places, funny and slow to get going but once it does it you'll be hooked like I was. The main characters are really well described, likable and in some cases incredibly sexy. It has a fair bit to do with futuristic superhero slavery, kind of objectifies women a little but they are the ones who have special powers and they soon hold sway over their master, who does appreciate their talents and treats them respectfully from the beginning.
I thought the whole thing was really fun but with suitable dark tones when things got exciting. The narrator has to be one of the best I've ever heard. Get this book!
