Lovely teenage story

It was nice to have it coming from a make point of view and the fact that neither of the main characters were automatically the 'OMG I must date them they're so hot!' types. Although some of the magic still seems a mystery I think there is a reason for this and it will be explained later on. I look forward to the other 3!
Interesting and a little bit different!

Typical boy meets girl, nobody understands them kind of thing; but added deep South history which made it more interesting.

Apart from this, the book is great!
The reason for ‘Totally Different’ as headline is mainly because I watched the movie first!
Serafine, the school, Larkin to name but a few, are totally different and even the story itself is different - it’s like the movie has essence of the book, but is nowhere near relevant or even the same as it.
I must admits to how ‘different’ and I have to say that had the film been current with the book, I think the box office stats would be telling a different story itself 😊
I was pleasantly surprised by the book. If you can get past the narration/narrator, the story and the book is very good.
Great storyline, characters, humour etc... makes you ever wonder why they changed the story and characters??, why they had the actor playing Ethan speaking in a real southern drawl?? (when it clearly states he was educated and annunciated his words and pronouncing his G’s, not dropping them).
Maybe if the powers that be that made the movie had stuck with the original story, we’d have seen a sequel or four instead of being left high and dry!!
I can’t wait to read the next instalment as the book is far more superior - so don’t be put off by the movie!!
Totally Different!!
