What did you like most about The Longest Day?
Closes off some questions from the first trilogy. If you want to know more about Molly Schneider or how the Russians made their plans, the answers are contained here-in.Would you recommend The Longest Day to your friends? Why or why not?
I'm not sure. Whilst it's part of the story of the Ark Royal trilogy, I was already happy with the Ark Royal story. This details what happened on earth during the attack. I don't think I'd listen again. There are some details of sexual assault that were more graphic than anything in the previous books and I didn't really need that.What does Ralph Lister bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
I like him, these stories are read well by him and if you're looking at this book you're probably already familiar with him. I love R.C. Bray but I think on these books Lister is a better choice, as there's mainly told from a British point of view and I'm not sure Bray could do it that way.OK but not necessary. Slightly unsettling
