About this listen

The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“ (InTouch Weekly)

Beckett,

If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Ryan

I wasn't prepared!!

I dont cry at books, so I went into this thinking I'd be fine. I WASN'T FINE, this book wrecked me. I cried buckets. So good, but I can't put in words how much of an emotional rollercoaster the book will take you on. Have your Tissues ready.

Powerful

This book was so powerful, emotive, beautiful and beyond any more words. This is the first book I have openly sobbed at, that warmed my heart then broke it. I just cannot believe how incredible this book was.

Emotional roller coaster!!!

Unusual for me to pick up a book like this. I am a thriller, crime kinda gal and decided I needed something different at this point for a break. I randomly picked this and I loved it!!! This could be turned into a wonderful movie if done right. Take what you will but I do believe in things happening for reasons !! Enjoy!!

Worth it.

I normally read psychological thrillers but this showed up on my homepage as a recommended read. Let's just say I am not used to tears streaming down my face whilst listening to my audiobooks. Not fast paced, cliche in parts but worth it in my opinion. Sort of sneaks up on you towards the end.

Another fabulous story

Yes I sobbed, but Rebecca has done it again. She is such a wonderful story teller. The narrators certainly did the book justice. Fabulous.

I cried so hard

Really good, so many emotions. Couldn’t put it down (or switch it off… because it’s an audiobook)

An emotional one

Using letters written by the two main characters to fill in their history gives this book an interesting difference. Although you have to catch on to them being shared when appropriate to to the story unfolding not in sequence.
The story will have you reaching for the tissues at times, but it's got humour and romance too. Good bedroom scenes add that but of spice Rebecca is great at delivering.
Ella's character was a bit annoying at times and I felt she really needed to give Chaos a break but he hangs in there. Teddy Hamilton gets ten out of ten for another great performance - his voice yet again matches the characters being portrayed and I could listen to him all day!
So overall a nice lightweight book you will find easy to read or listen to

Outstanding book!

I absolutely loved the caracters in this book. I feel so much love for both of the main caracters, and the children... Wow!

I knew something sad would happen, because I read the reviews before I started reading. It kept me guessing through out the book, which was kind of stressful.

It's very difficult to say much about this book without giving away important parts of the story, so I won't.
It will make you smile, laugh, replay parts of it, maybe cry some, feel irritated, overwelmed with emotions and love...
Some will finish it fast, I did it in 2 days, while working.
Others will need to take breaks, and maybe listen to something else inbetween..
It simply depends on where you are in your own life.
If you are strugling in your own life, than maybe this is not the right time to read this.
Put is aside for later, or take breaks, but don't walk away. Because it will be one of the best books you'll ever listen to.
And you will keep this story with you forever.

The narrators did a wonderful job. Can't imagine anyone else doing it better.
