From the dedication to the authors note at the beginning, to the final page this was a EVERYTHING I could have EVER wanted for the final instalment of the Sullivan Family series. DUKE FREAKING SULLIVAN was absolutely 100% worth the wait!
I finished this book in one sitting last night and it was the best ending to a year of books I will never forget. I had a feeling this was going to be a special book but I wasn’t prepared for the masterpiece of what I was about to read. The love story told is simply beautiful. Duke Sullivan is the standard. I laughed, swooned, sobbed and kicked my heels in delight as I finally saw him get his own HEA.
✨ I don’t care what your last name is as long as it eventually becomes Sullivan ✨
Lena took a trope that is not high on the list of people’s favourites and presented it in a way that complemented the storyline of both main characters and the overarching one that ran through the series that makes the stakes just a little higher. It is a testament to her skills as an author. There is something so special about this town and cast of characters that just leave you with a sense of joy and comfort. I adored how we got to see throwbacks of moments from previous books but from another POV and how they tie into the wider storyline. If addition, we finally got to uncover the truth about the feud between the Kings and Sullivans and I cannot wait to see how this news impacts the King boys when we get to their stories.
