I’m finally putting down roots so my daughter has a normal life, so I need to forget about Lark. Forget the way it felt the night we kissed, or what it’s like to finally take something just for me. But when those sparks ignited, it was more intense than either of us bargained for.
Trouble is, I can’t trust her, and she never stays.
She’s burning my carefully laid plans to the ground, and all it took was one look.

Pack your bags for Outtatowner
Let’s be honest I’m very much in my Lena Hendrix era and I’m obsessed.
One Look is book 1 in her latest series and focuses on the “Golden Boy” ex-NFL turned coach / grumpy single-dad Wyatt and Lark the woman who his aunt hired to cry at a funeral to end the Sullivan’s ongoing feud with the Kings.
Wyatt and Lark story was everything I wanted it to be. It sweet, swoony and spicy. I love how they’re dynamic, banter and how they grew together as well as how Lark was able to break through Wyatts grumpy exterior.
Penny aka Pickle was a delight. It was so cool to see her relationship with Lark develop and her one liners had me laughing out loud.
The town of Outtatowner; yes you did read that right, is full of lovable characters with all their colour nicknames. The feud between the Sullivan’s and King’s adds an interesting dynamic and I cannot wait to see how this plays out in future stories. There is definitely more to this mystery.
Lena has such a wonderful writing style. She manages to perfectly balance her storytelling with all the spice you could ask for. This book had me laughing on multiple occasions, as well as reaching for a tall glass of water to cool down! Charlotte and Sebastian did such a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. Overall I absolutely loved this book and it was such a fun read. I cannot wait to see what happens nexts to the Sullivan’s and Kings.

Such a fun listen!
I loved reading this book and I loved listening just as much! This book was exactly what I love and want! Grumpy/sunshine, nanny/personal assistant and all the laugh out loud banter and scenes to keep you smiling from ear to ear! I could not get enough of Lark and Wyatt! How they met, where their story takes you, everything! I got lost in their love story and I fell in love with this whole new small town Lena introduced us to! All the characters were amazing and I want all of their stories. Sebastian York and Charlotte North stole the show. Their narrations captured this book perfectly. What a start to this new incredible series! And I cannot wait to listen to One Touch!

Loved it!!
This book was phenomenal and an amazing start to a new series by Lena Hendrix! This grumpy/sunshine, small town, slow burn, single dad romance had me hooked from the first page and Daddy Wyatt was chef’s kiss! I loved the connection Wyatt and Lark had. Their chemistry, banter, and relationship was perfect. One Look had all the small town vibes, dirty talk, drama and romance I’ve come to expect in a Lena Hendrix book and I loved every minute of it!
The narration for the audiobook by Sebastian York and Charlotte North was perfect! I was swooning, blushing, and laughing out loud listening to Wyatt and Lark come to life! I loved every moment of this audiobook and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
