About this listen
One night—a single moment—cost me everything.
My body, broken beyond repair. The boy I’d thought was my forever. The life I’d always dreamt of.
Now, Holt’s back. And he’s no longer a boy, but a man with shadows in his eyes and demons haunting him.
He says he’s here to make things right. To get back a little bit of all we’ve lost. And he doesn’t show any signs of leaving the small town that has been my refuge.
As stolen moments turn to days, Holt’s around every corner. With his burning stare and lingering touches. Before long, my walls come crashing down, and I’m just hoping that taking this second chance isn’t as reckless as it feels.
But not everyone is happy that Holt has returned. As tragedy strikes again, I’m the one left in the crosshairs. And Holt might not be able to save me this time....

A nice romance with a sinister plotline
Second chance romance isn't my favourite trope, however, throw in a sinister crime plotline and I'm hooked! Whispers of You is exactly that! It kept me hooked from start to finish.
Wren was nearly killed in a home invasion age 18 when her boyfriend Holt was late to her house. Holt couldn't forgive himself for being late and letting her down so badly so he left to join the military. Fast forward 10 years and neither of them have moved on. They meet back up when Holt returns due to his father having a heart attack and the survivors of the home invasions 10 years ago start being killed in a new spate of home invasions. Holt has to gain back Wren's trust whilst assigning himself as her protector.
Dual narration is good, however I did find myself cringing a bit when the male narrator did Wren's voice, but it didn't ruin it for me.
Overall a solid 4 stars from me and I will be likely to read more in the series and from the author.

Really compelling
I haven't listened to anything by this author before, but I was drawn to it because Andi Ardnt & Zachary Webber are two of my favourite narrators.
The story was absolutely amazing! So much happening all the way through, and a real emotional rollercoaster. I loved it! I will definitely listen to future books in the series, and won't hesitate to buy more of Catherine's books.

WOW!! Love this book so much!
Catherine Cowles, I am blown away with this first book in the Lost & Found series! I always know I am in for a treat when I put on one of her books, but this one is the perfect mix of romance and suspense! A second chance romance that will melted my heart and kept me on the edge of my seat. Wren and Holt are in love until the unthinkable happens. Unable to deal with life, Holt leaves town, breaking Wren's heart. Now ten years later, he has come back home to make amends with his family and win Wren back. But will it be that easy? And now that he is back, it seems danger has come back to town too. Will he keep Wren safe? Talk about an exciting story! I love the dynamic of all the characters. From Holt's dad to Joey Sullivan, we have an array of interesting relationships to follow. Wren is very independent and I love how she learned to deal with the changes in her life. Holt has overcome his issues, and his actions show his maturity. It's a fantastic romance, an unexpected bit of twists and turns and an unpredictable ending! Love it! Can't wait to hear book 2!
And how can it get even better? Add Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber in as the narrators. They are so good as they bring all the love and suspense to this story. These two know how to find the essence of their characters and prove just how well they know them with their portrayals of each one. I loved them and think they are perfectly cast.

Small town, romantic suspense at its best!
It is so great to be back with Catherine’s writing. As always there is s shed load of suspense in this second-chance romance. In the small town of Cedar Ridge we meet Wren, Holt Hartley’s (who we met in the TATTERED AND TORN series) long-ago love. Jump forward nearly 10 years from the traumatic event that sent Holt running and once again Cedar Ridge is hit by tragedy.
Catherine has such a way of writing characters who are real and go through raw emotions that you can’t help but be sucked into their world. I loved the plot twist, I did not see that one coming. I loved that Wren didn’t just immediately fall back into the relationship with Holt. She was wary and it gave more authenticity to their love. I just loved this story!
Andi gave us the urgency of a woman being stalked. We heard the fear in her performance. Zachary showed us just how much Holt was ready to atone for his so-called sins. This audio power couple delivers the goods with yet another captivating audio experience.
What a fantastic start to a new series of stand-alone romances.

Starts off with a bang not a whisper!
Whispers of You starts off with a Bang not a whisper! Wren Williams has been in love with Holt Hartley for as long as she can remember. They were friends and then sweethearts until Holt ran off and left Wren and their life behind.
“I wanted so badly I could taste it. And the more I let myself want it, the worse the fall would be if things didn’t work out. I’d barely survived the first time Holt had left. A second time would be too much to bear.”
Holt struggles with guilt that he was not able to protect Wren when it mattered most. It takes him a long time to come to terms with everything, but he returns to Cedar Ridge determined to go beyond his past mistakes and make amends.
“…sooner or later, she would believe that forever was just a lifetime of a little whiles.”
I loved this first book in the new Lost & Found Series. We are introduced to the Hartley family and I can’t wait to read more of their stories!!
I listened to most of this on audiobook and loved the amazing narration by Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber!!

Really enjoyed the story of second chance, small town and close family.
I liked the feel of the story and I knew couple of parts of the secrets but I hadn’t figured out another part so I loved that I was surprised.
Great mix of not just romance and I loved how they didn’t take long to figure out everything.

Exceptional Story & Listen🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt!
Catherine Cowles pens another winning novel, an amazing second chance romantic suspense that not only captivates your attention but it tugs on your heartstrings too. This book takes off with a heart pounding prologue and I could not put the book down because nothing else around me mattered except what was going to happen next in the book. Holt Hartley and Wren Williams were each other’s everything, their friendship turned to love, true love and Wren was ready to take their love to another level. She planned a special night for him, but the night turned in to a tragic nightmare, one that changed not only their lives but others in the town of Cedar Ridge. Holt blamed himself for what happened to Wren and he could not deal with the aftermath or live with his guilt, so he fled and left it all behind. Ten years later, life brings him back to Cedar Ridge, and he realizes the errors of his ways and wants to set things right with Wren, but he broke her heart and there was nothing he could do or say to fix that, she has learned to live with it. Holt is determined to fix things and when the past comes back to haunt them and the people of Cedar Ridge, he finds a way back into her life. I love Catherine Cowles writing style and the characters and storylines she creates, and she has outdone herself with this book, from the heart pounding beginning to the mystery and suspense throughout that keeps you thinking and on your toes to the thrilling scenes that take you to the edge of your seat to the swoon worthy Holt and second chance romance, that has your heart pounding for a different reason. The world building and character development is phenomenal. Besides the wonderful lead characters, there are some fabulous secondary characters too. Thank you for another exceptional story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And the amazing narration, the wonderfully talented Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of who these characters were, took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Arndt nailed it as Wren, grasping every side of her personality, from her strength to her vulnerabilities, while Webber did the same for Holt. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Amazing
What a ride... I got hooked from page 1 all the way to the end. And the suspense was killing me. And when you finally find out who the killer is, shocking...
I really was upset with Holt. For everything that he and Wren went through and then he just left. Not cool. I loved that Wren took that time to stand on her own feet and take care of herself.
Zachary Webber is one of my fav narrators and he was perfect for Holt. Andi Arndt, its been a minute since i did an audio of hers but now i remember why she's my favorite :-)
This story was heartbreaking, suspenseful, filled with angst and the best part it was filled with love. Awesome job Catherine and well done to the narrators :-)
