About this listen
Love has its own playbook, and they’re both about to be blindsided.
I’ve landed in Denver as a backup goalie—a huge step down from the starting position I’m used to. Uprooting my two young kids after losing their mom wasn’t in the plan. I thought I could ease the sting by hitting the reset button and maybe channeling a bit of my younger, single self. But the dating game? I’m rusty. Then I meet Mia Morales—the stunning agent helping me find our new home. She’s smart, beautiful, and way out of my league. With her fiery spirit, she makes me feel things I haven’t in a long time.
Mia’s got her own baggage—work burnout, family drama. She’s wary, keeping me firmly in the “client” zone, and I can’t blame her. My fumbling attempts at charm don’t help. But every time we’re together, it’s like the pull between us gets stronger, no matter how much she resists.
Just as things heat up, my mother-in-law shows up with her own ideas about what’s best for my family. And Mia? She’s fighting battles I don’t fully understand. But I can’t shake this feeling—she’s the one I’ve been waiting for, and I’m not about to let her go.
The question isn’t if we’ll make it work—but if we’ll survive the heartache we risk just by trying.

Single Dad Sports Romance!
This is book 6 in the Playmakers Series, a Hockey Romance. Mac and Mia's story is sweet, and heartwarming. I like this series. Mac, a widower single Dad, is handsome, and caring. Mia is sweet, smart, and supportive. They are perfect together. Mac's kids Riley and Mason are adorable. I liked the family spirit in the story. Single Dad romance is one of my favorite tropes. Ryan Lee Dunlap and Aubrey Vincent did a great job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Twisted Wrister, the next book in the series.

I loved the dual narration of Ryan Lee Dunlap and Aubrey Vincent, who bring this wonderful book to life in your ears. Perfect.
Mia is a very strong woman who supports everyone around her. Mac has to uproot his family, after losing his wife and becoming a single dad of his son and daughter, His hockey career is on hold, moving to Denver and contacts a realtor to find him and his children a place to live. When he meets Mia he likes her straight away, Fate steps in. We have a controlling and uptight mother-in-law.
We have a perfect balance of drama, angst, humour, twists and turns, oh the right amount of steamy romance.

Mac & Mia!
Mac has had it tough. Taking a leave of absence for be with his family and the death of his wife has been hard on him. he lost his starting goalie position and the trade was inevitable. He is making the move to the Colorado Blizzard as the backup goalie and trying to find a place for him and his kids. Upon first meeting Mia, he is given the brush off, but as luck would have it, she urns out to be his realtor, showing him places to live. The chemistry is real, but now to get her on board too. Mia has been hurt in the past and now carries a guilt that is weighing her down. A relationship is not in her cards, but this man has her attention. GK Brady took me into their lives and invested my heart 100%. These two are both broken, and the healing is just beginning. I loved seeing previous teammates, and the interaction with their new teammate. But I especially loved the rivalry with Wyatt. The twists and turns there story takes are unexpected!I can’t wait to see where it all takes me next!
Pulling me into the narration is Ryan Lee Dunlap and Aubrey Vincent. What a team! Both figure out the best voices, add just enough emotion and kept my attention completely. I loved every minute of this one.

Mac and Mia!
Needing to be there for his family Mac had to take a step back from his career as the goalie for a professional hockey team while his wife faced a terminal illness. After her passing he became expendable to his team and has been traded to the Blizzard where he is trying to adjust to his team and help his children adjust to their new lives.
Mia always put everyone first whether it is her family or her boss. She meets Mac after receiving some difficult news, but she never expected to see him again let alone find out that was the realtor that would be showing him a home. There is no denying the chemistry between them, but she is cautious due to their pasts as well as the challenges in the present.
Both Mac and Mia are going through difficult times with their families which creates some turmoil, but they prove that as long as they are together they can handle anything life throws at them. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they brought out the sweet and swoony side of Mac and the feisty and fiery personality of Mia.

Wonderful storyline
What a great book. This one has a beautiful storyline and well written characters. I smiled so much listening to this audiobook. With a strong independent leading lady, this guy has his work cut out for him. A brilliant performance.

Such a fun listen
This was such a fun listen! Mac & Mia had such amazing chemistry together, I enjoyed the build up and banter.
I loved how family oriented they both were, both their families were so important and played a big role in their lives. There were plenty of distractions and hurdles they both had to face. This was an emotional and intense story and I really enjoyed listening. Both narrators did such a wonderful job, they really brought the characters to life and gave them personality.
Both Ryan Lee Dunlap, and Aubrey Vincent did such a fantastic job bringing G.K. Brady’s story to life and giving all of the characters that touch of extra depth only a good narrator can do.
