The Risk of Falling is a stand alone story, though the last couple minutes of the epilogue set up for what I assume is the next book. I liked how the action and suspense were incorporated into a story with an independent heroine. The book was very heavy on the steamy scenes.

I can say enough great things about the narration. Sarah Puckett has an amazing ability to convey a character’s emotion when they get into a into a tight spot. Gideon Frost was a great match for Micah’s point of view. I’m sure that I enjoyed the story more because I listened to it.

I received a copy of the audiobook at my request, and the opinions here are my own.

I loved everything about this book, from Nikki Ash’s fabulous writing style to the amazing characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to your ears. I also loved the originality of the story, how it drew me right in, grabbing my attention and captivating it straight to the end. The characters are easy to relate to and connect with. Sienna Bardot is doing her best to take care of herself and your fourteen-year-old sister Ellie, since their mother is nothing but trouble and hardly ever home. To keep her safe, she brings her sister with her to her job at Wanderlust, where she dances. Sienna always dreamed of dancing, but it was on quite a different stage as a ballerina and not a stripper. But she does what she has to do, at least until she gets her college degree. Micah Alexander was smitten with Sienna the moment he laid eyes on her, but he soon learns that she is not like any of the other dancers at the club. She does not give him the time of day, which makes him want her even more. I admired Sienna for her determination to succeed and stick to her plan. Micah steals moments with the help of her sister. Ellie is smart beyond her years, knows the sacrifices her sister makes for her, so she does not want her to pass on what may be the best thing that ever happened to her. My first impressions of Micah were wrong, he may have been a powerful and ruthless businessmen, but we are only shown a glimpse of that side, we get his warm and caring side. He definitely won over my heart very quickly. This is wonderfully plotted story has plenty of drama, some angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Nikki Ash, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I had to look and was so happy to see that Ellie is getting her own book which I am looking forward to and am hoping Lincoln is part of her story. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Gideon Frost and Sarah Puckett did an amazing job bringing the characters and their story to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable in every role they played. Frost and Puckett played their roles perfectly, capturing every aspect of their characters' personalities. They put so much heart into their work that you could feel their character's emotions through their performance. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Sienna is determined to carry on dancing and get out of there and make a better life for her and her sister Ellie . However Micah her boss has other ideas he wants her and nothing will stop him getting what he wants. I’m loving Nikki’s books and this is one of my favourites so far .

I think I found my new favorite book by Nikki Ash.
This book... gah! this book!
That ending. Like WTF! I need more!
Sienna and Micha are 🔥🔥🔥!
I loved Ellie. She had me wanting to pull my hair out at times though.
This book has the right amount of 'angst', steam and suspense. I loved that part. The danger. It kept me on the edge of my seat and holding my breath to know what would happen next.
Overall, highly recommend and unsure if I'll have a different top 1 read/listen for 2023.

My first Nikki Ash listen but it won’t be the last. Micah and Sienna are all too different and their paths should not have crossed. But they did and the chemistry was hard to resist, even if Sienna’s heart tried to shut all the feelings down.
Micah feel hard and fast, opening his doors to two girls he barely knew. Maybe too fast for someone that had been happily living the bachelor life; Sienna had all these walls put up around her but her sister was the priority and like every strong women she knew when to accept help. Accepting she was in love with Micah was a different story but after a while she knew.

Gideon Frost brought the confident billionaire Micah to life whilst Sarah Puckett voiced the strong willed Sienna. Both narrators did an amazing job

Nikki Ash brings another amazing story. Micha and Sienna are opposite in all ways. she comes from a broken home. He comes from a loving family. we get the experience of both sides. So much pain and heartache with sprinkles of love coming out. In the end, love wins. In this book I felt all the emotions they went through. Now that is a good sign of a great story. was a bit disappointed in not getting more on Ellie at the end. wondering if a book will come out with her.

the narrators brought this story to life. They made the characters so real I forgot this was a story. They brought the emotions.

The Risk of Falling captivated me from the start. Sienna has had a rough home life, and has no one to really count on. She works as a dancer at a club and takes care of her teenaged sister since her mother is unreliable. Micah sees Sienna dancing one night on stage and is instantly smitten and has to have her. Sienna's only focus in life is school and her sister, so Micah has his work cut out for him. When Sienna's mother makes yet another poor choice, it forces Micah and Sienna into more of a force proximity situation, which allows him to try and work his magic and try to get her to go out with him.

I enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I loved these characters. They were just real and relatable. I adored the relationship that Sienna and Ellie had with each other, and I loved how hard Micah worked to show Sienna how important she was to him. He was just genuine and thoughtful and I loved how much he cared about Ellie too.

The narration for this book was truly fantastic. Both Gideon Frost and Sarah Puckett are truly fantastic at bringing their characters to life and they are both highly, highly enjoyable to listen to. I loved this book it was so good since Nikki Ash books are always amazing I didn't even bother to read the blurb I went in blind and loved every minute of it. the story was beautiful, emotinal, sweet, funny, spicy. I loved the characters the narrators were perfect

Micah and Sienna's HEA is fraught with issues, as Sienna has an awful family history and is inevitably in danger because of it. Micah may be considered an anti-hero because he's part of an organization that isn't all good so there is some darkness in the story but I think there was a disconnect for me between that aspect and how Micah was actually characterized and acted throughout the story. That said, he was really swoon, I enjoyed all the characters in the story and I loved the romance part of it. And the narration was really good. I always love Sarah Puckett but Gideon Frost is a newer narrator for me and he was really good! I thought that he had a smooth voice that worked well with the characters.

The Risk of Falling by Nikki Ash is a marriage of convenience romantic suspense that I listened to on audio narrated by Gideon Frost and Sarah Puckett.

I absolutely love Nikki's books. I can't help but binge them in one sitting. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Micah and Sienna. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series A Risk Worth Taking to be released on January 25, 2024, so I can get Ellie's story.

Gideon and Sarah did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like marriage of convenience romances, romantic suspense, new adult romances, or contemporary romances.
