About this listen
There are a million reasons why I shouldn’t date Fletcher Huxley.
He’s a growly-faced, stubborn-streaked, international rugby legend trying to revive his flailing career in the US after being canned by his team overseas.
While he might have the good kind of thunder thighs, intriguing tattoos, and a booty of steel, he also holds the top position on my very short nemesis list thanks to what happened the first time we met.
Plus, his mustache is as terrible as the reason he’s picked me to be the woman he wants to date.
But he has one big checkmark in the why this date is a good idea column: he’s my brother’s new teammate.
They already hate each other.
And my brother has made an unfortunate habit of interfering with my love life recently.
So a revenge date with Fletcher to make my brother mad? While letting Fletcher think this date is merely for the good of the team?
Yep.
I’m in.
I’m moving to London for work in a month. And it’s just one date. What could possibly go wrong?
Until It Was Love is a banter-tastic romcom featuring an overgrown snack of a man with a soft spot for his purse dog, a normally optimistic life coach trying to live her best life, a mustache catastrophe, and one little tiny fainting spell. It stands alone and comes complete with a swoony happily ever after that will leave your heart in a happy puddle of joy.

Adorably fun romcom
Until It Was Love is a super fun, cute romcom. I loved listening to this swoony story on audiobook. The banter was next level. And that mustache was like an extra character in the story… the kind you love to hate ;)
“Is there anything more satisfying than watching someone you don’t like make a serious mistake with their facial hair?”
The bonus epilogues were an absolutely adorable ending to wonderfully sweet story.

A Hilarious RomCom! Amazing Story & Listen🎧
Pippa Grant pens another wonderfully delightful romantic comedy, one that hooked me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and captivating it for the entire book. Goldie Collins’ career ending injury may have taken her out of the soccer game, but she reinvented herself and became a life coach and influencer. Fletcher Huxley, a professional rugby player, who was let go from his team and is back in the states playing for the Pounders, the same rugby team Goldie’s brother is on. Goldie and Fletcher have history, one he does not recall, and one that Goldie will not forget and why he is one of her least favorable person. She and her geriatric crew were helping at a blood drive, when she saw him, and for the ladies his mustache became the highlight for the event, and not in a good way. Fletcher was there to help strum up interest for rugby, sure Goldie rather have ignored him, but when she glanced over, she knew he was on the verge of fainting and sure enough he did and landed right on her. Hilarious scene, between the bickering women and the back-and-forth banter, it was one big laugh out loud scene, setting the stage for what was to come. Fetcher asks Goldie out and she says yes just to piss off her overprotective brother, besides she only has a month left in the states before starting a new job across the pond in the UK. She agreed to help him with his mission of making rugby more popular in the states too. It was great to watch these two dance around each other, the chemistry between them is electric, but they fight against every step of the way. They each battle their own inner demons, ones left by past relationships or their upbringing. I loved all the layers of this story and it has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. And as always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Pippa Grant, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, they understood who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and were believable in every role. Clarke nailed it as the grumpy Fletcher, grasping every aspect of his personality from his angsty side to his caring side. Brentmoor was equally amazing as Goldie, also grasping all sides of her personality, from her wit to her determination. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, handle all the banter and witty dialogue naturally and with ease, while landing the humor effortlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling each one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevates the story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Oh my goodness
I’m wiping my brows, and fanning myself. It’s either hot or hot. It’s hilarious from the start but it’s also a great love story with a life lesson or two in between.
The narrators are so good and I love everything about this. I can’t praise it enough. Just get it already.

Just made me smile!
This book just made me smile! These characters grew in my heart as their relationship grew.
Goldie is a retired soccer player who has a strong sense for direction in life. That is until the moustache falls into her life.
The moustache is none other than Fletcher Huxley. And maybe the sole person Goldie doesn’t like. When she’s at a blood drive and Fletcher passes out. Goldie finds it in her heart to help him. Especially if it’s going to piss off her brother. Then so many things happen to make these two realize they’re perfect to each other but does fate allow them to be together?
There was some real down to earth emotional stuff in this book but also so many lol moments too.
I listened to the audiobook with two of my favourite actors. Samantha Brentmoor brings out the spunky characters and makes me smile. Goldie’s warm heart shines through with Samantha’s voice. As well as all the other characters. Jason Clarke became the grouchy ego seeking Fletcher then showed us Fletcher’s vulnerability too in this super fun audiobook that had me smiling through the weekend.
Makes me want to look into more books in the series. I truly enjoyed it!

Fantastic! Laugh and love!
This is the way I like to start my weekends. Pippa Grant always makes me laugh and gives me all the feels. This brother's best friend, sports romance is fantastic! Meet Goldie. A retired soccer player now influencer and coach, she is making the most out of her life. When her career was ended with a serious hip injury, she took it as an opportunity and is now looking forward to moving to London to further her career. Meeting Fletcher Huxley was not high on her list, but she knew accepting his invitation to go out would just irritate her brother, a favorite pastime of hers. Fletcher has come the US to play rugby and make it as popular as can be. He is a bit broken, but his hidden heart is warm and loving. Too bad his abrasive side keeps appearing around Goldie. But is that enough to keep them together? Or keep them apart? This is a fabulous grumpy-sunshine, enemies to lovers story that had me laughing out loud and warming my heart. It's the perfect mix, and I loved every minute. Plus it's always fun to visit Copper Valley again with all the small town goodness and gossip. It's one of my favorite places! This was an amazing story!
And it got even better if that is possible with a narration by Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor. These two are both favorites of mine, and their on ear chemistry is fabulous. Clarke is the broody, broken, grumpy Fletcher who by all means is a teddy bear at heart. Brentmoor is strong and independent as Goldie, but I love her ability to bend her right into being vulnerable. This team is one I know I can count on to bring out the best in the story I am listening to and this is no exception!

Perfect listen
Audiobook read. This was my first Pippa Grant read and it was excellent. I’m from the U.K. where Rugby is a big deal. Not quite as big as football but enough that I can name all the local teams without knowing much about the sport.
I loved the moustache jokes and the adorable dog.
Goldie and Fletcher are the type of couple that grow on you and you haven’t notice how invested you are until you can’t sleep even though it’s 2am and you have work the next day.
Fletchers trying to promote rugby in the states and Goldies planning on visiting England for a few months. Neither are looking for love and both need it more than they realise. This is a feel good, great vibes rom com.

Be prepared to smile
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. I heard some things I have never heard of before lol. I enjoyed the characters and how their relationship gradually formed. If I had to say something negative, it’s that the niece was kind of a brat sometimes. The narration is fabulous, Jason and Samantha are two of my favorites. I definitely recommend this book.

Another fun one
It seems like I just copy and post the same review every time, but I just love the books Pippa Grant writes. They are fun, have a little spice and they surprises me with unexpected twists. And with good narrators like these the book just comes alive. I really recommend all her books
