About this listen
Clean cut, all-American, hot as sin, and sweet enough to lick all over.
That’s how my friend Skye describes Miles Blake. It’s how I’d describe him, too, if I didn’t just find out the one-night stand that rocked my world is my best friend’s fiancé’s best friend…God, what a mouthful.
Now, the cat’s out of the bag, and despite the lingering attraction between us, I’ve locked him firmly in the friend zone.
What else am I supposed to do? If I allow myself to enjoy Miles the way I want to, what will happen when things inevitably go bad? We’d be putting our prospective best friends in the middle, that’s what. And I refuse to be the cause of tension between my bestie and the love of her life.
No way. No how.
But it doesn’t take long for the desire simmering inside me to come to a head. Miles is charming, funny, gorgeous, and kind…everything I could want in a man wrapped in a sexy package that makes my body revolt against my mind and its ridiculous decision to keep things friendly.
So we make a deal––we’ll remain friends, but with…ahem…benefits. Nothing changes outside of the bedroom, and when we end the physical stuff, we’ll remain friends. No harm. No foul.
It’s the perfect plan, right?

Friends with Benefits
Roxie is working at her job one night when she waits on Miles and his friends they have instant chemistry and have a one night stand. The next night they run into each other at the best friend’s house who happens to be engaged to each other this meeting is awkward. With friends telling her she should give Miles a chance but she is steadfast on just being friends because she does not want to upset the group if there is a breakup. Miles is determined to make a relationship with Roxie work but will her stubbornness derail their relationship before it can even begin. The ending is a good set up,for t the next book in the series which I can’t wait to listen to.

My Thoughts on Bump and Run
This was an entertaining lovers to friends to lovers romance. The two main characters Roxy and Miles became lovers before realizing how close they were already connected by their best friends. They try to take a step back, to be just friends, and of course this being a romance novel things don’t work for them as friends. I really enjoyed the time spent with the characters actually getting to know each other. It made the ending ring so much truer. The narration was pretty good. I found myself liking the female narrator more so than the male narrator. Just as a personal opinion. I thought at times he sounded older than the character was supposed to be. Overall, I enjoyed listening to this though and am excited for book three.

Loved the dual narration from Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst, perfect.
Roxy dreams of having her own bakery, at the moment she is a waitress, while bakes and sells them from the side. One night out with friends Miles at the restaurant Roxy is working, he askes her out, Roxy agrees to meet him after her shift and the two have a steamy one-night-stand. Unknown to Roxy Miles plays football or that they had mutual friends. It while visiting friends they meet again. Both decide to be friends. But there is undeniable chemistry between them and they could only deny each other for so long and they agree to be friends with benefits. A brilliant story, with such a emotional rollercoaster ride.

Terrific Story & Listen🎧A Sweet & Spicy Delight!
Piper James pens another delightful novel set in her “Branston Bandits” series, a sports romance with lots of humor, heart, and heat. Roxy is a waitress and bakes and sells cookies on the side, with dreams of opening her own shop one day. Miles is eating dinner with friends at the restaurant where she works and he can not keep his eyes off of her, so he makes a move on her, and she agrees to meet him after her shift and the two have a steamy one-night-stand. Roxy did not know that he played football or that they had mutual friends in common until they both saw each other again while visiting those friends, Tessa and Riggs, from the first book. She was not expecting to see him again and having friends in common complicates things, so they decide to only be friends. But there is undeniable chemistry between them and they could only deny each other for so long and they agree to be friends with benefits. What could go wrong with that? There is never a dull moment in this book and the writing, plot and world building are terrific, as are the character growth and development. I thought these two were great together and for each other. Piper James, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst deliver another fabulous performance, bringing the characters and story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on and they are believable in every role they play. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions, having you feel each one. They set the perfect tone for the story and handled the witty dialogue natural and with ease. These two make a great narration team, their voices and performance complement each other and they are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

banter filled friends with benefits
great narration, funny and steamy sports romance
Roxy and Miles are even more enjoyable than Tessa and Riggs. Miles has no intention of playing fair and will pull out all the stops to show Roxy they can be so much more than just friends.
love checking in with the friend group and previous couple

Bump and Run is a sweet and sexy sports romance and follows Roxy and Miles. Roxy is a beautiful waitress. She bakes and sells cookies as a side gig. She has dreams of opening up her little shop one day.
One night Miles and his friends are eating dinner at the restaurant where Roxy works and the moment these two cross paths, Miles can’t seem to take his eyes off her. It doesn’t take him long to try and make a move on her. She agrees to meet up with him after she’s finished work. The two end up having an extremely sexy, steamy one-night stand together. Roxy later finds out that Miles plays football and that they both share mutual friends. It’s when they are both visiting Riggs and Tessa (from book 1) that they realise and it shocks them both. They didn’t think they’d ever see each other again and the fact that they share mutual friends has made it complicated and a little messy.
They both agree that remaining friends is what is best, however they can fight it all they like but there is an undeniable attraction between the two of them, just like there was the first night they met. There’s only so long they can deny this chemistry. The more time they spend together, the more the chemistry intensifies and the more they lose their battle and both agree to be friends with benefits…. The perfect plan, right?? Can they remain friends and have fun or will feelings get in the way? Are they kidding themselves?
Oh my lord… these two were two of a kind. I loved them and was rooting for them from the first time they met! The banter with these two is top-tier. It had me laughing and swooning throughout the book. This book may have been sweet, sexy, and entertaining with humour but it also held depth and emotion. It had it all. I enjoyed it.
The audiobook was great. I’m still fairly new to both the narrators so it takes me a bit to adjust to them but they brought the book to life and brought the emotion in the characters.
I can’t wait to see what else this author has up her sleeve! High recommend!

Miles & Roxy!
A baker and a football player meet in a restaurant. Yes please. Especially when it's these two. Roxy makes erotic cookies and we first met her in the first book of Piper James's Branston Bandits series. She is quite the personality, a bit vulnerable, confident in her baking but when it comes to relationships, she is hesitant. Especially when she realizes the man she has taken interest in is the one and only Miles, friend of her best friend Tessa and her fiancé Riggs. Miles is a player, but there is something about Roxy that has caught his heart. Playing friends may be the way to start to win her over, right? This is a fun listen, packed with humor, good friends and spicy moments. I can feel Roxy's hesitancy, and the pull she has towards Miles. Miles is a sweetheart, and his confidence in Roxy and feelings are genuine. Loved their progression to find their happily ever after!
Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst continue this series with a fantastic performance. These two find the personalities in their characters and create the perfect atmosphere for their budding love. The way they interact and their chemistry comes through and made for a wonderful listen.
