About this listen
Riggs Malone. Star quarterback and captain of the football team. The boy all the girls wanted and all the boys wanted to be. My first love.
And the only person who ever broke me.
I have a great life. I've fulfilled my dream of running my own coffee shop-slash-library in my hometown, I own my own home, and I have the best group of friends a girl could ask for. Everything is perfect.
Or it was.
When a neighboring town starts its very own professional football franchise, he gets himself traded to be the starting quarterback of the Branston Bandits. And before I know it, he's purchased the house next door, moving in with a neighborly smile like he didn't destroy me all those years ago...when he made a disgusting bet with his teammates to take my V-card, which I was eagerly and naively willing to give him before I found out the truth.
Well, if Riggs Malone thinks its all water under the bridge, he has another thing coming. I don't forgive easily, and I never forget. I'm about to make his life a living hell.
Let the prank war begin.
The Turnover is a steamy, enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy with lots of laughs, plenty of heat, and more than a few cookies that are...ahem...anatomically correct. And if you're worried about Riggs' ability to be redeemed, don't worry. While he did, in fact, make the bet, all wasn't as it seemed...

Quick listen sports romance.
Supercute quick read/listen with some good giggles.
Second chance sports romance with pranks and banter. Open door steam and sweet moments. Story paced well and the flashbacks to highschool didn't disrupt the flow.
Excited to see what happens with the friends group as I can picture some hook ups within the group.

My Thoughts on The Turnover
This is pure rom-com goodness. I was so happy that Riggs was the hero this story needed him to be, but I loved the pranks and hilarity that ensued for Tessa to find out the truth. Both the main and secondary characters in this story were interesting and I look forward to hopefully getting more books featuring those secondary characters in future. The narration was great as well. Both performers voices fit well with the comedy as well as the steam as needed in this story.

Entertaining & Delightful! Great Story & Narration
This is a fun and fabulous romantic comedy and the story has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and a steamy second chance romance. Tessa White was a nerdy book worm in high school, so it surprised her that Riggs Malone asked her out on a date. Riggs was the star quarterback of the school’s football team and part of the popular crowd. Things were going well for them and she was falling in love with him, but then he broke her heart and it was a heartbreak she had never got over. He left to play professional football, and she was happy to not have to see him ever again, but he returns to their hometown when he was picked up by the new team in the neighboring town. Tessa was Riggs’ one regret and when house hunting he found out the house next to hers was for sale, so he bought it without hesitation. It was time for him to make amends, except she wants nothing to do with him and won’t even hear him out, but he is determined and not about to give up. I loved how everything played out in this book and the story captivated my attention from start to end. It was great watching these two go head to head, the shenanigans and pranks were hysterical and I was rooting for them the entire time. Piper James, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst did a fabulous job bringing these characters to life, understood who they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting. I loved how they took their roles and made them their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined they would sound. Both grasped all aspects of their character’s personality, and were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their performance elevated this story to another level. Thank you for the wonderful listen.

Pranks
Loved this book about two people and a misunderstanding from high school. Tessa and Riggs had a unique relationship it started in high school on a bet when Tess finds out the truth she never forgives him until he moves back to town and in next door what ensues is a series of pranks that gets their relationship back on track. Great start to a series met characters that I want to see them get their stories and a HEA.

Love the narration of Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst, Perfect
Riggs is a sweetheart and Tessa
Twelve years ago Riggs and Tessa had the start of something but due miscommunications, the two of them fell about. But fate has other ideas and now they find themselves as neighbours.
Time and their lives have moved on, but their hearts never truly have. Even with all the pranks and silly things they do to each the two of them find one another again.
This book has humour, emotions and hot romance.

Prank war? Say less!
This is my first book by Piper James so I didn’t know what to expect. I enjoyed it and I’m so glad to have taken the chance.
Riggs is the star quarterback and captain of the football team. He’s the guy all the girls go weak at the knees for and all the guys want to be. He’s a jock, a sexy one at that. He asked out Tessa, who is the complete opposite of him, she’s a quiet and shy book nerd. They were a cute couple, however after Tess overhears a conversation Rigg has with someone and finds out the real reason why he’s in a relationship with her, she immediately breaks things off.
12 years later…. Now Riggs is a famous football player and has returned to his hometown only to find he’ll be living next door to Tessa.
Tessa still holds a massive grudge after everything happened in high school and now she and Riggs end up in this prank war of sorts. The chemistry is still there but will they put the history behind them?
This was such a fun, different and entertaining story. I couldn’t help but love Riggs and Tessa. I loved the chemistry between these two. You can’t help but the door for these two and you can tell these two are meant to be.
Highly recommend!

Fantastic start to the series!
Piper James always brings a smile to my face with her funny, romantic stories. This one adds on sports and second chances which adds that sparkle to it. Riggs and Tessa were high school sweethearts until she overheard why he was dating her and broke things off. Now a famous football player, he is back in his hometown only to find he is living next door to the woman. Still carrying that grudge, and all the feelings she had for Riggs, the fun begins. Pranks and snarky comebacks fly between the two as the foreplay begins. But is back then the same as now? Will that chemistry be enough or do the flames die out? This is a funny and thoughtful story of the chance for redemption and understanding, love and rekindling. I loved this first installment in the Branston Bandits and I can't wait to meet more of this new team!
Cecily Foster and Josh Innerst are the perfect picks to narrate this romantic comedy. Foster carries all the snarky, vulnerable, funny comments that come out of Tessa. She is filled with all kinds of feelings and Foster is impeccable at each delivery. Innerst is right there with her, keeping up with all the feelings Riggs dealt with, the planning mind of pranks and the romantic side that keeps her coming back. I loved these two and thought the way they played off of each other is what made this narration so good.
