Most people do not realize how spiritually unhealthy they are and how that affects every area of their lives. The healthy Christian life is attainable if you pursue the truth of the Scripture and apply it to your life. As a Christian, the grace and life of God is already inside you. Learn to practice those truths that will keep you strong in him. My desire is that you not only have a healthy Christian life and receive all the benefits that come from that, but also to be such an example that you inspire your family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances to want to know him more.

Lacking health insurance when he was diagnosed with cancer, Shawn Speakman asked friends in the science fiction and fantasy writing community to donate short stories he could use to counter mounting medical debt. The result was Unfettered, an anthology offering tales from some of the best authors working today. Now, in Unfettered III, Speakman continues to pay forward the aid he received, raising money to combat medical debt for SF&F artists and authors.

You define life or it defines you. In Shawn Speakman’s case, it was both. That’s when New York Times best-selling author Terry Brooks offered to donate a short story that Shawn could sell to help alleviate those bills—and suggested he ask the same of his other writer friends. Unfettered is the result: an anthology built in order to relieve that debt, featuring short stories by some of the best fantasy writers in the genre.
