This is about a community of mostly extended families pulling together to protect their valley after a worldwide economic crash sends the entire planet into anarchy. This is how a group of determined people working together can keep their small part of the world safe (or at least safer than most places).

Further adventures in the life of John Walker and his family and friends in the aftermath of a world wide EMP and the destruction that followed.

Most everything I've written deals with an event that knocks the wheels off the world, such as an EMP. I wrote the first Valley book about an economic collapse, and I know less about that subject than an EMP (which ain't a lot). But after the first one, I realized that while the world might be burning down in the cities, that didn't mean that all of civilization came to a grinding halt.

Another chapter in the ongoing lives of the Walker family as they survive in the dangerous new world after an EMP and it's after-effects bring the world to its knees. The survivors band together and rebuild a better life than they had before, but not without danger.

I've believed for many years that the powers that be (whoever they are) who control most everything in America have worked overtime to turn the American Law Enforcement Officer into little more than a tool for the shadow government: a way to get around The Posse Comitatus Act.

More from the life of the Baker Brothers, living life in the new frontier following the crash caused by several things, including a plague. They have built a new home and life in the modern Old West.

Life in the old and new days, after the crash parts of the country, are living an 1880s lifestyle, while others are in about the 1960s. Come along for the ride as the Baker Brothers chase outlaws as Territory Marshals.

Follow the ongoing adventures of John, Sandy, May, and Walker the Mutt, as they roam across the land following an EMP. Follow them through their many adventures, while working to save what, and who they can, from the after-effects of a world gone crazy.

My purpose for writing this book was to show that a thinking person can not only survive, but live well in a world gone crazy. Live well, of course, meaning compared to most. I wanted to show that one didn't need Bill Gates's checkbook to build a place to survive.
