John Crussel has established himself as one of the most powerful players in the game, known in Alterlife as Ace the Great. But his quest for freedom came at a price. By unleashing the virus, thousands of lives were lost, and their blood is on his hands. Time has passed, and with it, the deaths seemed to have stopped - the virus is no more. Prosperity has returned to Alterlife, and to John's life. But the Gamemasters haven't forgotten about Ace the Great and what he has done.

Wanting to use the potential of the Soul Stones - legendary relics of unspeakable power - Victor gathers his supporters to rise against the Prophet and all those who wish for the stones' existence to be kept unknown. Caught between his duty and his heart, Lucian must either stand with Victor and betray his fellow brethren, or take his true love, Sarie, and leave it all behind.

John Crussel lost. And his family paid the price. He's through with Alterlife. That is, until Deakins convinces him to meet Giovisi - a strange and meticulous man who operates a cleaning business. It also happens that he's the guildmaster of the Saviors - a mysterious guild in an even more mysterious place. Giovisi convinces John that the threat still remains; the virus is still in Afterlife.

Eighteen years have passed since the rebellion within the Order. The once peaceful kingdom is now in turmoil, and its citizens seek a savior. Emerging from the shadows, a dangerous man sets his master plan in motion - one that will elevate him to the highest political position in the realm and give him power over the masses. Only the prophet and the rest of the Order stand in his way.
