  • Where Are We Now is a short series of podcasts hosted by Myles Hart. The show consists of beautiful, painful, playful and insighful conversations with influential and inspirational people from both the Creative and Mental Health industries. Myles sits with his guests to discuss a variety of topics from the perception of the black male, appreciation vs appreciation, Mental health, representation of the black female and more. The Where Are We Now Podcast takes you on a journey with the guests where we learn about their personal stories, their connection to such topics, how they were impacted by the BLM movement following the murder go George Floyd and ultimately where they are now.This show serves as a part of the #WhereAreWeNow week long campaign by DNXBLM that commemorates the murder of George Floyd by continuing the conversations that seemed to have gone quiet. It aims to remind all of us we have come far, but still have far to go. It uplifts and validates the shared experiences from Black people in our communities, highlights important issues and celebrates Melanin Magnificence. By bringing mental Health to the forefront we aim to normalise and eradicate stigmas regarding mental health and therapy that still exist within our communities by having these open conversations. All the money raised from this week and donated to the show will go to Black Minds Matter UK who help bring Therapy and advice to Black communities where it isn't accessible and also provide Black therapists.     On this episode of #WhereAreWeNow podcast brought to you by NiceThings Network, Myles Hart sat with Black Minds Matter Us very own Minowa Norton, their Project Support administrator. In this episode the two get into all things Mental Health, its importance, effects of poor Mental Health, ways you can better your Mental Health and discuss factors as to why there is such a stigma is the black community.


    Not only does Minowa share her own journey regarding Mental Health but how she pursued it as a career. She tells us how Black Minds Matter came about, their aim and what they are currently doing to provide Black people with the mental health services they need.


    This conversation aims to raise the awareness of issues Black people face regarding Mental Health and how we can combat that, whilst also normalising its discussion. We also celebrate the work of the Black Women making this change possible in the Black community. Further more they discuss how it is extremely important when vetting all therapists to ensure the safest environment for their clients, including ensuring all therapists are allies or apart of the LGBTQDL+ community.

  • Representation In The Arts and Media With Cassa Pancho

    In this episode Myles Hart sits with CEO founder and artistic director of Ballet Black Cassa Pancho to discuss the representation in arts and media.

    They discuss the beginnings and current focus of Ballet Black and what it means to young ethnic dancers and the struggles faced within the arts surrounding being non white.


    Representation impacts the psyche immensely and can have a direct repercussion on the trajectory on ones lives and opportunities they see possible. The mental health aspect is also key, and they focus how changes can be and are being made by allies within media and the arts.


    This short series aims to continue necessary conversations to not only education but inspire changes that can benefit the black community.
