About this listen

Eddie Raven’s legacy continues....

A gripping thriller with a shocking twist of fate.

Behind the cold, damp walls of the cottage, 17-year-old Malakai River is left to fend for his younger sisters. In her selfish quest for freedom, his mother shacks up with a small-time gangster and recklessly leaves the children behind. When Jean River returns a year later, she makes two shocking discoveries - a decomposing body of a young woman in her cottage...and Kelly Raven.

Malakai, battling to keep his sisters safe, steps into a world he knows nothing about, but he soon realises he has what most men fear - the face of his father. Yet even that won’t stop the enemy in the wings trying to destroy his family.

disliked the way punishment (inevitable death) was delivered. liked families reunited & Kelly boss in an otherwise male dominated set up.

Another great book by Kerry Barnes and another great performance by Annie Aldington - be warned - once you start it's difficult to put down.

Excellent

...reading this raunchy *expletive* romp!
A great story of family connections, & not all blood-tied ones... although blood DOES flow!
I'm glad the kindness of these villains has shone through, but I'm not happy - if, as portrayed, they care for others - with the selling of cocaine & other drugs. Perhaps better sold by 'good' (???) conscionable crooks than not.

wicked pleasure...

Kerry Barnes definitely has carried the torch from Martina Cole. They way in which she enthralled and excites the reader from the get is amazing. Her introduction if new characters whilst keeping the old well in play is brilliant. I can't wait for the next one.

bringing in the new family
