About this listen
You’re cordially invited to attend this year’s spring break retreat at The Lodge.
It’s a highly exclusive experience guaranteed to redefine your future.
Assuming you survive.
Sydney
I thought it was a joke.
Some pompous high-society game meant to play with the children of the elite.
But then people started dying.
Including the one who invited me to attend.
Now I’m the one they all suspect.
Because I have blood on my hands.
Their blood.
Kage
The pretty little pawn isn’t supposed to be here.
She’s unique. Not one of them. A potential prize I may take for myself.
But only if she learns how to properly play this game.
The terms are simple: truth or kill?
Mmm, I hope she picks kill.
Because she’ll look stunning in red.
Welcome to the darkness, my little black rose.
Blood is your new currency.
And it’s time to pay the price.

A Dark & Twisted Mind Blow! Great Story & Listen🎧
“Welcome to the Twisted Legends Collection. Where urban legends are reimagined. And darkness reigns”, well if that book intro does not suck you in, then this story sure will. It is one mind blow after another and once you start the book, it is near impossible to pull yourself away because you just need to know what happens next, yeah it is that kind of book, addictive and captivating from start to end. This book is a standalone and A.C Kramer’s unique take on the urban legend of Killswitch, a video game that self-destructs at the end, leaving no trace that it ever really existed. I heard of it, but I am not much of a gamer and paid little mind to it, despite that I still loved this story and the way it all happened, the author most definitely has a brilliant mind, the twists and turns are absolutely amazing and the whole premise of the story is both brilliantly and deviantly twisted. My recommendation is to go in blind and with an open mind, it is best to stay clear of all spoilers and enjoy the wild ride. The characters are amazing, I admired Sydney, with her nonchalant attitude and the way she handled herself and everything thrown her way. Kage, wow, his story is something like no other, the world he grew up in like no other as well. He has his reasons for everything and it is great to watch it all unfold, loved his determination and his confidence. This well written, cleverly plotted story has lots of drama, angst, twists and turns, psychological thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and a sizzling romance. A. C Kramer, thank you for this amazing story and the wild and crazy ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Chloe Ryan and Michael Gallagher were the perfect cast to bring these characters to life, and they did so with the complete understanding of who these characters were, giving each a voice that fit them to a tee. Chloe Ryan played Sydney just right, kept her wit in the toughest of situations. Michael Gallagher nailed it as Gage, grasping all sides of his personality, from his soft side to the hardened shell he had to be. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.

This was my first read by A.C. Kramer. A group of rich people a brought to a retreat in which it turns into a game of exposure of secrets and blck.mail. Now this is a game you don't want to join. It sorta has a sq.uid games feel to it. Kage is disguised working on the resort is in partner running the game. He is definitely morally grey. Sydney comes in basically dragged in by her friend but Kage takes a liking to her. A bit different. I really enjoyed the audio.
I liked the narration by: Chloe Ryan, Michael Gallagher

Truth
Wonderful dual narration from Chloe Ryan and Michael Gallagher
If you want to listen to a dark twist romance this is the book.
Sydney accepts an invitation to an exclusive lodge, where she finds herself being used as an innocent pawn in this game of Truth or Kill. Her only option and way out is to play the game through till its eventual conclusion. Only one person seems to be her ally is lodge employee Gage, but he has his own agenda and secret's ones that might just get Sydney killed.

Get ready for a wild ride!
Now this is a book you can sink your teeth into! A little Squid Game feel, I loved this totally suspense filled book! AC Kramer is a new author to me, and this is definitely going to have me coming back for more. Sydney is invited by her friend to take part in a game. Sure, why not? Until things became deadly. Now Sydney is playing for her life, Kage is behind the scenes, and taken with the one player who really doesn't fit in. She is feisty, and not afraid to tell the truth. But will it be enough to keep her from being the next victim? Holy cow! Kramer had me on edge the entire time. Kage is an amazing antihero, full of dark, delicious passion, yet I wasn't sure I could ever trust him. Sydney is smart, sassy and has a dark edge too. I love her edginess and lack of fear to go against the grain. This is a phenomenal listen and one that should not be missed.
Michael Gallagher and Chloe Ryan team up to tell us this story in duet narration. Gallagher is Kage, giving us all the darkness and evil with his voice, Ryan is a spitfire as Sydney, trying to keep ahead of the game. I loved this team, the way their voices fit the characters and complimented each other. It's a perfect cast and should quickly be a one click!

Incredibly unique 🤩
If Stepford Wives and nerve (the movies) has a child with caraval, this is the book!
You know in caraval, the mmc was part of this ‘game’/ circus, and he couldn’t break any of the rules or go out of character? And definitely couldn’t by ANY means fall in love with the prey? Well this book had exactly that too - minus the circus part 😆
There is a secret society full of they liked to call ‘elites’, who are all part of this game called Truth Or Kill which had a morbid vibe to it, and definitely dangerous for its participants. The under-toning message behind it was ‘play the game or 💀’.
Set in a resort harbouring a lodge/ cabin in the woods. Our male protagonist, Kage is in on Truth Or Kill, even being one of its leaders disguised as a member of staff within the resort, but still under some kind of influence from the higher ups.
He’s definitely morally grey, and the pure definition of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Being inside his mind (dual pov) his thoughts were that if a serial killer, and I’ll let you decide on his actions too. 👀
I didn’t mind the female protagonist Sydney, but she didn’t really stand out to me.
I would have liked the characters to have a little more depth to them so I could connect to them a little more. I also am not a fan of any romance that isn’t slowburn, I like the tension to be built up over some time, so when they come together it’s explosive. But that’s just a personal preference, if you like medium burn romance you won’t have any problems with it 🥰
There was never a dull moment, the storyline flowed smoothly, and the suspense was top notch. I’d describe the romance as, Cat And Mouse 🤭😏
Enjoy!

Wild dark ride
Mindf…. Wow. There are hardly any words to describe the darkness of this book. Yet, you cannot and will not put it down. Very good writing and dialogue. Really good narration.

Dark Romance
Truth or Kill by A.C. Kramer is a standalone dark romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Chloe Ryan and Michael Gallagher. This book is part of the Twisted Legends series.
This is the first book of A.C. Kramer's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The loved the chemistry between Kage and Sydney. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Chloe and Michael did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, gothic romances, or romantic suspense.

So good
As soon as Sydney approached Kage he could see she was different than the rest of the entitled crowd that was attending the Lodge. Sydney said things as she saw them she didn’t pull any punches and Kage found her very intriguing and refreshing . I really enjoyed reading this and i loved the chemistry between Kage and Sydney. The audiobook is amazing as always .
