About this listen
New system? Check. Companions? Check. An accidental soulbound murder bunny with aspirations of becoming a chef? Check.
It’s not easy being a System Traveler. Well, the traveling part is hard, at least. But once Derek got his feet under him, he hit the ground running, saving an entire area from a massive dungeon overflow in the process. He even found some companions to help ease the massive hole inside him formed from spending decades alone in the void.
Now, it’s time to move on to another adventure–from small villages to a city.
His only experience with a noble left a bad taste in his mouth, and cities are full of them. Hopefully, that experience was an outlier. Surely his view of nobles is just swayed by tropes beaten to death in popular fiction, right?
Well, he’s about to find out as he takes a step into his first city in Cydaria, Torith.
Don’t miss the continuation of Derek’s adventure with a new System, complete with the unique combination of LitRPG, isekai, and slice-of-life genres. Just what is an overpowered protagonist to do with a foreign System in foreign land? Whatever he feels like.

Daughter: “Mom, Can I have a BMD?”
Mom (eye twitching) “Reeeeally? Whats that then?”
Daughter: “A Bunny of Mass Destruction!”
Silence, then tires screech as mom slams the breaks.
“A WHAT?!!!”
Daughter (whispering in fear) “it cooks too…”

The author over describes - you don't have to describe an action AND tell us what it means (he shrugged, indicating he doesn't care about -insert summary of last paragraph-). You shouldn't have characters explain things that the other characters should already know (As you well know, we -insert detailed info on what the character has spent years doing and should need no explanation on-).
It was driving me nuts and I almost dropped the series at the first book. But it gets better further in. Also, stuff keeps getting brought up without any pay off quite often. it's frustrating. "I do wonder how they dealt with it" and the next chapter never even brings it up, ya know? Why ask the damn question?
As for the narrator, he is great in most regards except for voicing women or children. It sounds like he is mocking someone the entire time. He does the main character very well.
In general, I am glad I stuck with the series. Fun listen but I wish the author had rewritten first couple of books before publishing and the narrator put in more effort in narrating other characters without making them sound like caricatures.
