About this listen
Emma and her friends are about to turn 30, and for Emma it's a defining moment. Defined, that is, by her having achieved none of the things she'd imagined she would. She's never jumped out of a plane, hasn't met the man she's going to marry or snogged anyone famous. As Emma hurtles towards her thirtieth, she discovers, with hilarious consequences, that some of them are trickier to tick off than she'd thought....

"Close the doors, open a bottle of wine, get out the chocs and enjoy this wonderfully witty read. Jane Costello at her best." (Milly Johnson)

X130 as it was slow otherwise. It was good to see Emma and her friends all approach their 30th birthdays. This is my third Jane Costello book & I have bought 3 more with 2 more to buy.
I would recommend this book as I would a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon film.
A lush book

After a while I did get a bit fed up with the sometimes childish course jokes and sarcasm -too much for me.
Quite engaging

If you could sum up The Wish List in three words, what would they be?
Oh no don't. This book is a bit of a silly romp. having said that it is a good romp and great fum. lots going on at a great pace.Who was your favorite character and why?
Well you know more of Emma and see the world from her point of view, but Max and Emma's girl friends are well balanced characters. Amazingly for chick lit most of the men are great characters. Liverpool comes out very well too. The places described are real and true to life. What does Alex Tregear bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
Positively she reads a great story negatively she drops in to an awful Scouse accent. I am a native It is my native language but at times it grated.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Its a book to laugh with. A perfect example of how humans can convinces them selves to do some pretty stupid things.Any additional comments?
I recommend this book. Yes its chicklit but it has some insights into human behavior and truths. Do we ever grow up? I would suggest not completely.Careful what you wish for

The main character Emma is delightfully scatty who epitomises many women of that age.
This was an easy girly read that I got more and more into as the story went on, so much so I didn't want it to end.
Whilst this is a girly book I wouldn't recommend it for teenagers.
Fun, enjoyable read
