About this listen
From USA Today and Amazon Top 5 Bestselling Author Bella Matthews comes a Fake Dating, Teach Me, Spicy Sports Romance.
A little white lie never hurt anyone . . . or so I thought.
One fake date and we’d go our separate ways, at least that’s how hockey’s hottest golden boy—Nixon Sinclair—convinced me this would work. But it turns out, Nix had other plans.
Now I’m sneaking around with my brother’s teammate, refusing to admit he’s everything I want but never knew I needed.
Irresistibly dirty mouth—Check.
Panty-meltingly possessive—Check. Check.
Toe-curling lessons in the bedroom—Check. Check. Triple Check.
But when fun leads to feelings, our little white lie starts to feel a little too real.
And if I’m not careful, I’ll be the one hurt in the end.

Sweet & Spicy❤️🔥Fabulous Story & Narration🎧
Checking out new to me authors is one of my favorite things and even better when you find a gem that leaves you with a great impression, and that is exactly what Bella Matthews did with her wonderful writing style, and the fabulous characters and storylines she created. This first book of the series is Dr. Mackenzie “Kenzie” Hayes and Nixon Sinclair’s story, a sport romance with a unique spin on the fake dating and teach me trope, and to complicate matters and add more depth he is her brother’s teammate. There are some great secondary characters too, familial, friend and family connections. Nixon always had a crush on Kenzie, and when he saw one of her colleagues making her feel uncomfortable, he jumped in and told him he was her boyfriend, catching on quickly she went along with it, hoping her doctor colleague would back off. Nixon was happy to spend more time with her and they both felt comfortable with each other enough for her to share her inexperience in the love department, which is something he could help her with. The chemistry between them was smoking hot, and it was great to watch their never really fake relationship morph into something way more, even better when they finally realized it. This wonderfully plotted story is captivating from start to end and has the perfect balance of drama, charm, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance, as well as great character growth and development and world building. Bella Matthews, thank you for this fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Lance Greenfield, Erin Mallon and Ava Erickson are the perfect cast to bring these characters to life and do so with a complete understanding of who they are portraying, giving each a voice that is fitting. I loved how they took each role and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Greenfield nailed it as Nixon, showcasing every aspect of his personality, and Mallon did the same as Kenzie and was as just as amazing. Erickson was a fabulous addition, a natural in her enthusiastic cameo appearances as she relays the scoop. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers are a joy to listen to and their performance not only elevates the already great story to another level, but your listening experience too. Thanks for another wonderful listen.

Great story, sp!cy, s3xy!
There can nothing go wrong when you combine it with sports romance.
Nixon and Kenzi are a perfect couple. Kenzi doesn't know how awsome she is, but Nixon saw it the first time they met.
I definitely wanna know about the rest of the huge family.

Sweet romance
Ahh this was such a sweet story. There’s something quite endearing about a childhood friends to lovers trope. I loved the easy banter Nix and Kenzie had, there is very little drama but lots of love and laughter. The narrators do a fab job of bringing the story to life.

Swoony
This was such a sweet and swoony romance.
I absolutely love how fast paced this romance was. Nixon & Kenzie have amazing chemistry & passion, pair that with their almost life long friendship and you have the start of an incredible romance.
I love all of the friendships in this book, I love the snark and banter, as well as the emotional and inspirational moments. I am absolutely hooked and can’t wait for the next story.
The narration was absolutely incredible.

Sweet, Fun, and Passionate!
This is the first book in the Red Lips & White Lies Series, a Sports Romance. Nixon/Nix and Kenzie's story is sweet, fun, passionate, and entertaining. They are perfect together. The supporting characters are interesting. Some scenes are hilarious! I liked the brotherhood, and the friendship in the story. The narrators did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Redeeming, the next book in the series.

Love these narrators
This was ok for a low angst, light hearted romance. I would definitely classify this as a palate cleanser listen. Not much depth to this story but we get another installment from the Kroydon Hills gang so it was nice to catch up with everyone. It was hard to build up tension when these families / group of friends have all intermingled in some way or other already. I did love Kenzie’s secret thoughts and the Philly press reporting that cut up the chapters.
The audio performances were great and full of emotion. The narrators are a huge part of what kept me engaged for this short listen. Extra points for adding a third narrator to cameo!! Production and performances were top tier!!

Nixon’s Character!!
Please, I did not think I would enjoy Nixon’s character as much but Bella proved me wrong!!!! I absolutely devoured this book. I was eagerly awaiting Kenzie’s book and I’m so happy to finally see her get her happy ending.
I as always enjoy the little snippets of the other characters and the found family within this fold. I really liked how Kenzie’s character has grown throughout the books. She was quite young when she was first introduced and watching her grow has been a ball.
I loved Nixon’s character, how he is with Kenzie just melts your heart. Their friendship brought a smile to my face. it’s such a great friends to lovers story. I enjoy the chats as always and then little moments that make you laugh and smile so hard.

Loved the female narrators
The Red Lips and White Lies series got off to a flying start with Tempting and the possible union between two scions of the leading families of Kroyden Hills. Nixon, a member of sporting royalty, the Sinclairs and by his own merit an ice hockey star has had an itch for Mackenzie Hayes, only daughter of Senator Beckett Kingston since they were teenagers, and he first saw her in a bikini. Now doctor Kenzie is back home its time to make his move and when he finds being harassed by a fellow doctor he steps in and declares himself her boyfriend.
Neither Kenzie nor Nixon were looking for love, but it gradually crept up on them as he gave her lessons in love. The chemistry between them was seriously sizzling. They’d been friends for years, but it had been more of long distance/part of the same group thing with Kenzie away for college and then her studies as a doctor, so it seemed natural that their relationship progressed with none of the awkwardness there might’ve been if they’d grown up in close proximity. Despite this ease, there were so many obstacles in their path, the largest being Kenzie’s overprotective brother Easton who just also happened to be Nix’s team captain. Their story was told from dual points of view with no major dramas or cheating, just a menagerie of larger-than-life friends and family members all more than ready to meddle in their budding romance…... although they’d call it giving the benefit of their experience and usually via their infamous group texts! If you’re looking for a sweet but extremely spicy love story with fabulous family dynamics, wonderful characters, and a whole lot of love then I recommend paying a visit to Kroyden Hill but be prepared to stay awhile. Honestly, you won’t want to leave.
This was a shorter audiobook than I usually listen to but that in no way affected my enjoyment of Tempting. With triple narration provided by Lance Greenfield and Erin Mallon voicing the hero and heroine while Ava Erickson brought up the rear voicing the secondary characters, there was a steady flow to their performances with both Erin and Ava easily able to switch between voicing male/female roles. I did feel that Lance seemed to stress or overemphasis certain words as if he was adding exclamation marks for dramatic effect which did get to be a bit annoying but not enough that I felt I had to switch off.

OMG WHAT AN AUDIOBOOK!!!!!!
Devoured it! Couldn’t stop listening to it!
Bella has seriously smashed it with the first book of this series and Kenzie and Nixon did not disappoint!
I’m sorry to say but move over Easton and Ares and make way for Nixon because he’s just over taken you both and RUN way past you! How did Bella create Nixon to take over the god of war - I have no idea!!
Great narrators - loved kenzie and Nixon - cannot wait for the next one to hit audible
