About this listen
With five unique tools that take only three seconds each to use, you, too, can achieve a lifetime of fulfilment.
Can you imagine what your life would be like if you could tap into a new source of power - one that has been inside you all along - to solve your own problems and become the master of your life? The Tools is an extraordinary psychological model based on the proven methods of Hollywood's greatest psychotherapists.
Phil Stutz and Barry Michels have over 60 years of psychotherapeutic experience between them. Together they have helped their A-list clients work through whatever has held them back - be it insecurity, trauma, anger, lack of willpower, negativity or avoidance - and achieve their greatest work and find a deep level of fulfilment.
Now, at last, the acclaimed clinicians are sharing their methods in this eye-opening and empowering book. Introducing their five simple techniques - namely, The Reversal of Desire, Active Love, Inner Authority, The Grateful Flow and Jeopardy - the authors clearly explain what they are and how and when to use them. Astonishingly effective and beautifully simple (once you've learned a tool it takes only three to five seconds to use it), this book will give you everything you need to propel yourself forward to achieve your ambitions and be who you were born to be.

Wow
I really enjoyed listening to ‘The Tools’. The narrator was good, and the ideas can really help you through life. It would be easy to dismiss the potency of material like this, but if you lean into it - there’s gold to be found! Viva La Stutz!!!

Challenging. Moving. Inspiring. My kind of book.
Would recommend watching Stutz on Netflix first, if you can. This audiobook moves effortlessly forward from the documentary conversations between Stutz & Jonah Hill regarding life & the importance of individual & global spirituality in the world. Loved it.

Very Special
Everyone should listen to this! It goes beyond self help. I’ve come back to these powerful tools again and again because they work. Phil Stutz is channeling something very special here and Barry Michels helps articulate the importance of these tools. Truly wonderful!

Possibly life-changing
Only time will tell but these therapeutic tools are what I believe I have been looking for for years. How many people have you met that are going through therapy and always come out feeling worse than when they went in? Understanding the root of a mental health issue can help to an extent, but in the end you need ways to improve your state of mind on a daily basis. These teachings deliver that.
The authors are very clear in their explanations and I feel like I trust what they’re telling me.
Would recommend for everyone.

There is a saying "the greatest battles of life are fought in the silent chambers of our souls". This book gives you important weapons to fight those battles. Very worthwhile reading

Life-changing
A truly remarkable book that really has changed my life. The 5 "Tools" are simple tasks that take just a few minutes to use every day, but their effect is very deep. They're explained clearly (the main narrator is very good, the second obviously isn't comfortable with the audio format, but only reads a small part of the book); how to do them, when to use them and what to expect from them. Each chapter ends with an overview of the tool and I bookmarked those sections so I could find them again easily.
The results of using the Tools for me? Greater focus and therefore productivity; a huge reduction in procrastination because now I have a very effective reason to act; and a calmer, more compassionate approach.

Some useful techniques
Some clever techniques or "tools" explained by a psychotherapist. Overall I enjoyed the book but towards the end when it made a pitch for "the new spirituality" it lost me a bit. I would recommend the book to people who are open minded about this genre.
