Nice little short story collection. Good variety.

I have a lot of affection for the Emperor's Spears, so good that they get two tales.

Some of the more memorable stories carry the weaker ones which are truly forgettable. Depending on personal preference as to whether your favourite chapter gets a good showing in this.

Some very ordinary shorts with the odd tale that grabs the attention. Not worth a credit, maybe pick up in a sale.

This book is a great bridge between several other outstanding 40k story lines. it also provides a bridge between older first born marines and Primaris. Highlighting how different chapters view them and integrate the Primaris.

Worth a listen to fix gaps in other stories or give you interest in others - Spears of the Emperor, for example.

Some of the stories are better than others

You have entry stories like Patience Kills and stories that require quite a bit of knowledge like the ADB stories and the Peter Fehevari one.

Overall I enjoyed it. The voice acting was great.

It's going to be impossible to please everyone with this mix. Rating based on the simple stories not doing it for me.

Some more interesting than others and depending on tastes better than others, I think an anthology is always going to leave some disappointment and that is not the authors fault but the readers for unrealistic expectations, I enjoyed this

I love the Emperor’s Spears, they are just cooler Space Wolves with more correct culture if you want vikings in space.

ADB story was good, nice little follow on from the emperor's spear, Some of the audio commentary didn't hit the mark on this, really getting the impression this is just got compiled as a bit of a side thought.

an odd mix of short stories about various space marines chapters some stand alone stories or prequels to novels, but some being in the middle of stories leaving you confused.
