About this listen

The White Lich has conquered Tanar Atain.

Soon, he means to take the entire world. Dante suspects his next target will be Bressel, where the Tanarians have established their court in exile. The only chance to stop the lich will be to forge a fragile alliance between the bitter enemies of three different lands: Tanar Atain, Mallon, and Narashtovik.

The city stands on the brink of rebellion. Yet even if Dante, Blays, and Gladdic can unite it, they still might not have the strength to stand against the army of the lich.

One last hope may stop the coming destruction: the legendary Spear of Stars. But the weapon was lost long ago. To find it again, they may have to travel further than they've ever known.

The continued story of Dante & Blayze in their epic journey to defeat the white lich and his hordes of undead. The lads are on top form, quality banter and non stop drama.
As with all books in any series of non stop story there is a lot of catch up at the start but ramps up quickly and doesn't stop.

Dante and Blayze continue their epic journey

I have fought battles and crawled through caves, I have felt the joy of victory and the agony of defeat and now to hear that the story is still not finished I want to scream. "What happens?!". Yes I get so frustrated with half hour battle descriptions and I feel the whole fourth book could have been left out, but I love the story and want to know how it ends.

What, there is another book to go?

I did not enjoy the previous book to this but have loved the series. whatever failings the last one had have been more than made up for in this book.

a return to brilliance.

I’ve really enjoyed the books by Robertson. To be fair the storyline’s are becoming somewhat predictable as is the humour. I can almost state Blays lines before he does.

The white lich is becoming a bit of a flogged dead horse as an enemy and sadly that is killing off my interest. Much the same as the previous series.

That said it’s still good fun, Tim is a great narrator and there seems so little new content on audible at the moment that I’ll keep going.

Still a guilty pleasure
