About this listen

I couldn't believe that Bec would, after all these years, bring the whole thing up so...casually.

Bec and Kate are sisters, but they couldn't be less alike.

Bec lives the domestic dream with her surgeon husband, Stuart, and three perfect children. So why is she so attracted to free-spirited Ryan?

Kate's life is hardly a dream. But when she meets Adam - tall, kind, funny - things start looking up. Until she finds out he's been keeping secrets from her.

Then there is the incident both sisters are desperate to ignore....

Will they discover that some mistakes can't be put right?

For fans of Liane Moriarty and Marian Keyes comes a tantalising, suspenseful listen.

Great for fans of Liane Moriarty, a couple of plot twists and easy to get in to.

Some great twists

The book itself was a bit of a slow burner which I’m not normally a fan of but I’m glad I stuck with it. I can normally predict the ending of each book but I couldn’t with this one. It touches on quite realistic themes which I enjoyed. I’m going to think about this one for a while, which is always a good sign

Loved it

This book got me through the mega boring job of painting my kitchen. I hate decorating, but the thought of being able to listen to this while doing it stopped me procrastinating and just get on with it. The story is easy to follow, both lives are very different, and interesting in their own way. It keeps you guessing and engaged all the way through.

Slow to start and I nearly gave up but so glad I stuck with it. Twists and turns and characters to love. Narrator excellent. Could listen to here all day!

Slow burner but worth the wait

Entertaining with some interesting characters. Excellent narrator. I highly recommend this audiobook. Especially loved the Kate and Bec sister relationship.

Great story

I really wanted to like this book. But it’s really slow, there’s a lot of unnecessary descriptive language - almost like the author had a word count to hit.

The narration sounds like every male character is struggling for breath and elongates all their words which makes it quite difficult to listen to. The women are made to all sound very high pitched.

The story is slow and it’s all a bit cringey, I think some of it is meant to be a bit erotic but it’s way off the mark.

Boring, repetitive and overly descriptive

I got slightly confused who was who had to keep reminding myself. otherwise not a bad listen.

that they got back ❤️ together

First experience of this author, definitely won’t be my last. Keeps you guessing while shouting “No, No No” or pleading “please don’t “. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend but just be sure you’re in the mood for a bit of suspense and a wee greet here and there.

Gripping story
