About this listen
Book 4 in the Eisenhorn series
Inquisitor Eisenhorn makes his triumphant return in a brand new novel, collected together with every one of the short stories starring the tortured servant of the Throne.
Listen to It Because:
It's a brand new Eisenhorn novel by Dan Abnett! What other reason do you need!
The Story:
Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn has spent his life stalking the darkest and most dangerous limits of the Imperium in pursuit of heresy and Chaos. But how long can a man walk that path without succumbing to the lure of the Warp? Is Eisenhorn still a champion of the Throne, or has he been seduced by the very evil that he hunts?
Warhammer 40,000’s most beloved anti-hero finally returns in a stunning new novel that pits him against his oldest and most constant foe, and forces him to confront the true darkness of his own self.
For the first time ever, the Black Library presents the definitive casebook of Gregor Eisenhorn, collecting all of Dan Abnett’s celebrated Inquisitor short stories into a single epic volume. The stories, some of which have never been in print before, have been compiled and introduced by the author to serve as an indispensable companion to the acclaimed Eisenhorn trilogy, and to act as an essential prologue to The Magos, a brand new, full-length Eisenhorn novel.

a break from the other books but still brilliant
I must add that I'm a bit biased as there is not a single book that Dan Abnett has written that I did not like. if you are expecting the same style as the other books forget it this is less 40k James bond and more horror orientated. I hope to see some more books about the biologist Mago's as he and max where great stand alone's. amazing book can't wait for the next eisinhorn book.
as always Tobbie Longworth was amazing.

Good and very good
I have binge listened to the eisenhorn books after listening to Pariah and Pentinent both of which I really enjoyed and was left in limbo on the last page of pentinent! this compilation of short stories and novella is well worth listening to, I enjoyed the humour in magos predominantly from Nail and Druscher which was a nice relief in the grim dark etc etc as alway Toby Longworth is a master of the narrated word

From start to end
This book was absolutely amazing, from the short stories in the start untill the actual book started.
Then when the actual book started that tied the short stories together into the main story so you were not confused in a super good way. Amazing book

Fantastic stuff
Great work again by the Dan/Toby duo.
I appreciated the extra works thrown in to the "case files", they aided in giving extra background and backstory for some recurring characters and referenced stories.

Loves a Good Adventure
Thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I've always enjoyed the adventures of Eisenhorn, so I enjoyed the main story along with the shorts that preceded it.
I thought it was well read and was presented in an immersive way, and easy five stars 🤩
