About this listen

The Dark Angels and the Night Lords fought one another to a bloody stalemate during the Thramas Crusade and, though the Lion eventually claimed victory, it left both Legions scattered and under-strength. Jago Sevatarion, First Captain of the Night Lords, languishes in a gaol cell in the heart of Ultramar. Far from a spent force, the Night Lords must consider where their loyalties lie, and what path they will take in the days and months to come.

Short and sweet

Very enjoyable, fantastic voice work and a great story. Although only a short story by comparison to other black library titles this book delivers an enjoyable and satisfying story, I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to listen to Warhammer literature but may not have too much time for larger titles at the moment.

The well made play

I would love to see this as a small production at the fringe Festival. In a short 45mins we are dropped into the eye of the storm. With galactic battles and the great heresy whirling around, we are given a story of a young girl trying to help heal a broken man. For anyone trying to get into 40k, I find this short story a brilliant start as it is so "anti" everything people think 40k. It's a brief insight into the struggles of war, and the terrible cost those who partake in war pay.

Sev is an absolute mad lad. Mental. He’s got a headache and he’s not afraid to use it.
