**SOON TO BE A MAJOR APPLE TV SERIES**

What if you could change husbands as easily as a lightbulb?

One night Lauren finds a strange man in her flat who claims to be her husband. All the evidence – from photos to electricity bills – suggests he’s right. And then another one appears. Lauren’s attic, she slowly realises, is creating an endless supply of husbands for her. There’s:

The one who’s too hot (there must be a catch).
The one who pretends to play music on her toes.
The one who can calm her unruly thoughts with a single touch.

But when you can change husbands as easily as changing a lightbulb, how do you know whether the one you have now is the good-enough one, or the wrong one, or the best one? And how long should you keep trying to find out?

Editorial Review

Catharsis for life’s curveballs
After a personally tumultuous 2023, I decided to embrace a “new year, new me” mentality for 2024, and though it has now been several months, I am still finding that adjusting to change, even when positive, often feels disorienting. However, wrapping my head around entering a new chapter in my life has been made easier alongside Holly Gramazio’s debut novel. Day in and day out, Lauren grapples with the sudden enchantment of her attic, which swaps out one new husband for another on a seemingly endless loop. And while, yes, some of the men manage to woo her in the little time they spend together, The Husbands is about so much more than finding romance. The rapid changes to Lauren’s life that propel her narrative forward, from sudden adjustments to her class status to changes in her own profession, offer an endless stream of fascinating insights and undeniable humour. —Haley H., Audible Editor

Brilliant narration and such an interesting plot - you’ll have never read a book like it ! Easy to get on with, lots of great characters (well accented by the reader) and funny. An interesting take on the throw away nature of online dating these days - but more surprising than you’d think!

Loved it ! Such a good listen

Brilliant concept

I really enjoyed this book. It was a really good take on relationships in all their many variations. I think the story could have been edited down a bit. It dragged a little towards the end. But I was engaged throughout, and really wanted to hear how it ended.

Miranda Raisin's reading really made the characters come to life.

A light novel but fun to read and thought provoking. It's a version of sliding doors but in an original way. I think this would be good book club material if the last book you read was on a more serious note.

A fun story

Silly harmless fun, although I did wonder how it would all tie up in the end. Seems a bit rushed there

Fun but a bit silly

This is a fabulous book . Both at a surface listening and a more involved extrapolation I was moved. Funny and touching both .

Outstanding

I highly recommend this one! A strong premise and performance, funny and dramatic without any full on make-you-miserable trauma like most books have these days. Go and listen right now :-)

Great audiobook

It became tedious. I thought there might be more of a story but it was just repetition with a twist that’s several hours of my life wasted.

Repetition?
