About this listen

A secret too terrible to keep. And too dangerous to reveal.

In the depths of an ancient Egyptian tomb, archaeologists make a baffling discovery: the mummified body of a man clad in a space suit.

Halfway around the globe, exobiologist Dr. Katherine Shepard and intelligence officer Colonel Devon Peters are summoned to the site of a downed UFO. To their amazement, they find one of the occupants alive. Even more shocking, he appears to be human.

As Shepard and Peters delve deeper into the enigma, they expose a chilling truth: aliens have inhabited Earth far longer than anyone could have imagined, and they are not alone. An ancient, hidden war is being waged, with humanity’s survival hanging in the balance.

Thrust into a perilous world of shifting allegiances and veiled motives, Shepard and Peters must race against time to decipher the aliens’ true intentions and shield humanity from a revelation too shocking to comprehend.

The Fifth Kind is a gripping, high-octane hard science-fiction thriller that will leave you listening late into the night.

The Fifth Kind Arrival

I enjoyed listening to this book and found it addictive and difficult to put down. It was action packed with shocking plot twists that kept me guessing, and on the edge of my seat, and would love to hear more.

An interesting start to a sci fi series

I found this to be a sci fi book that has lots of fun elements in and some clever twists to make it worth listening to. I feel that it really needs the next book to get going fully, as it felt like a lot of world setting up in this first book.

Mills and Boon Science Fiction - Seasoned SciFi readers best avoid

After persevering for four hours in the hope of finding at least one redeeming feature in this book, I finally gave up. A tired, bland storyline, heavily stereotyped engendered characters, stunted interaction with dialogue bordering on the plural, just awful. Out of cur, I played a large section of the audio script through an audio to text transcriber, and then ran the text through a plagiarism detector we use at school to check students work. The result was 70% likely that it was AI generated. I'm sure this will appeal to the Mills & Boon readership, each to their own, but for the seasoned SciFi enthusiast, best avoided.

Juvenile a waste of time

Silly story badly written. A waste of a credit. A reminder to ensure I do my research before buying
