About this listen
An updated audio edition of the popular dyslexia book by Brock and Fernette Eide, with a wealth of new material.
'Far from holding you back in life, the latest neuroscience suggests dyslexia maybe a real advantage - we just need to think about it differently.'HEALTHY Magazine
What if we viewed dyslexia as a learning and processing style rather than a disorder? Reading and spelling challenges are actually trade-offs, resulting from an entirely different pattern of brain organization and information processing. Dyslexic people possess powerful advantages, including incredible pattern detection, creativity, problem-solving and more.
This revised and updated edition includes 18 rich new profiles of remarkable individuals with dyslexia. The enormous advances in dyslexia research over the last 1 years provide innovative insights for educators, employers, parents and dyslexic adults. Blending personal stories with hard science, The Dyslexic Advantage shares empowering advice on how to identify, understand, nurture and enjoy the strengths of the dyslexic mind.

Let the kids find their own path, even if it's really difficult or even impossible. I'm sure you can tell I'm disleksic (and yes this is how you should spell it).
"I think, kids who have been labelled as learning disabled, but they’re actually super learners. They’re like learners on steroids who have some deficits to pay for their superpower. And teachers can’t deal with this. We label those kids as learning disabled to cover up for the fact that the economics of teaching requires that one central actor, the teacher, be able to lead a room of 20 or more people in lockstep." - Eric Weinstein
finally the disleksic version of the book.

The narrators voice jumps about all over the place. It’s so distracting I can’t follow the narrative. Such a shame. And a waste of money.
Awful narration
