Good psychology book, with trading background, although it can be applied to different life facets. At a times can be repetitive, but overall is a good book. Totally recommended.

Too much attention to the dog for my own personal taste. I’d often lose focus and drift off when the dog kept being brought up every single chapter towards the end.

I did however grasp some very useful mindset concepts from the book so for this reason I’ll recommend it.

Well I’ve been looking at this since 2017 when I first heard about Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas. I’ve been coming back to this in book form for years but it was Audible that helped me finish the book as an audiobook and listen to it all in byte size every day. Devoting 30 min or so at least every day I was able to get through this. Overall I enjoyed the narration and ideas presented although I need to listen to this again.

Yes the book is outdated, and the markets, trading styles and older references are not a great reflection of current conditions - but - the information regarding mindset and behaviour is still very valuable to the modern trader. Go through it at least a couple of times, especially the last 30mins about testing your strategies.

A must read for Traders

This is the most quoted book by successful professional traders! This classic work teaches the  peculiar psychology of trading in an easy way, it teaches the key elements of trading with explanations. Trading is a counter intuitive discipline and because of this 90% of traders fail. The skills are not obvious and Mark explains step-by-step how to succeed and why you will succeed.

content is focused at helping you understand yourself to a deeper level in the context of trading. some obvious point but other more subtle points I found very enlightening.

Kaleo Griffith does a fantastic job narrating the book, one of the best imo.
