Arthur C. Clarke
About this listen
Arthur C Clarke is without question the world’s best-known and most celebrated science-fiction writer. His career, spanning more than 60 years, is one of unequalled success. Clarke has always been celebrated for his clear prophetic vision, which is fully on display in this audiobook, but there are also many stories which show his imagination in full flight, to the distant future and to far-flung star systems. The second volume in a collection of five.

Ageless story telling.
Stories from so long ago that could have been told yesterday, what a mind vision or madness?

I've listened to this twice
This is classic AC Clarke. If you like classic sci fi then you will enjoy this. I've just listened for the second time after a gap of about six months. I enjoyed it as much as the first time. Clarke's background in science is evident in his attention to detail, and in this and his other works he had an uncanny gift for predicting future technological inventions. The narrators are perfect and each conveys the other worldly quality of the stories, some short, some longer. No doubt I will listen again.

Timeless stories
These are timeless stories which are set in the near future but still cast light on current events and happenings. Excellent narration

Excellent
Classic ACC stories. 70 years old but still visionary. Some feel like they were written today.

Very dated
I didn't enjoy this at all. I knew that the stories were old but it still surprised me just how little sci-fi there was.
