Excellent listen

Chump to Champ Collection is an step by step guide from a new starter to boxing through to the more advanced boxer, however can also be used as an excellent training guide for those intending on getting fit rather than entering the ring. Andrew Hudson takes you on a journey to learn everything from different boxing styles, through basic fitness routines, to footwork and punching combinations and provides a solid structure for the beginner and experienced boxer. The narration is an easy listen throughout and the supporting PDF material provides an excellent reference point to each of the highlighted techniques. Highly recommended and I will certainly be looking at other books by the same author in future.

Fabulous Book and Very Very Detailed

What I liked about this book was the safety warming in the chapter Health Check. There's not many authors that would have the decency to do that.  Chapter one is fantastic and gives a great high level overview of what has become a science in the world of sport. Basics such as stance and foot placement are focused on . Moving on the chapters go into more detail on each of the stances. So with this in mind I think the book is really well structured. The next few-segments cover the different types of boxer (ii sluggers, swarmer's, out boxer). The next few chapters dive into the movements and the advantages of each of them. Now into the part we are all waiting for the chapters on punching. I won't go on but it gets really interesting here. This book is very detailed and although I am not a boxer I enjoyed this book and I think it is absolutely packed with detail. Its very very descriptive about everything. Well narrated too.

A great book for the aspiring boxer

I started boxing as part of my rehab routine, and very quickly gained a new-found respect for boxers. I was absolutely creased after just 2 two-minute rounds. It's a combination of the adrenaline and the concentration that I loved. These books go into great detail about getting your stance right (so important!), the various types of punch as well as the most commonly used combinations of punches. I stood in front of the mirror and followed along. Great book. Thoroughly recommend.
