Amber Walker and her older brother, Jake, have an abusive father. One night, her brother's best friend, Liam, sees her crying and climbs through her bedroom window to comfort her. That one action sparks a love/hate relationship that spans over the next eight years. Liam is now a confident, flirty player who has never had a girlfriend before. Sean Crisden & Leah Mallach did a great job of bringing the story to life and were exactly how I imagine Amber and Liam.
This is definitely going on my re-listen list. :)

The life long romance was just beautiful. The story was refreshingly different in that the couple was strong and it was outside influences that caused the drama. It can be quite tedious to listen and read many romances where the couple have a huge misunderstanding break up then get back together bla, bla, bla...
The characters in this were level headed and so likeable.
Narrated very well, Leah has a fabulous voice to listen to, I'd say she's my favourite narrator thus far and I've listened to over 100 books this year so far.

Leah did a great job her voice really suited this book but i did think that Sean sound too old for the male roll and a bit monotoned for meDid you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
