About this listen
During the week Simon Seymore is a good little bookmobile librarian. He lives and breathes his job providing library access to the rural towns south of Grayson City. But every weekend he heads to the bar in search of another alpha to go home with. If he preps himself beforehand, they never have to know his secret: Simon can't slick.
Omegas who can't slick can't have children either, and alphas aren't accepting of that. At t27, Simon's learned that relationships simply aren't worth the risk. It's better to focus on his job, and stop dreaming about the mate he's never going to have.
Art Hitchens buried the love of his life five years ago. At 45, he has no intention of chasing after omegas ever again. But when a bookmobile librarian shows up in his hometown and gives him a wild proposition, Art feels alive for the first time in years.
Simon may be too young for Art and slow to trust after being rejected so many times, but Art feels a need to take care of Simon that's impossible to ignore.
The Bookmobile Baby is a May/December romance with knotting, MPreg, BDSM, and a nurturing Dom. It's the second book in the Nerds Who Knot series, but it stands alone.
©2019 Amy Bellows (P)2019 Amy BellowsI enjoyed this tale by Amy Bellows in her Nerds Who Knot series, so I'll be looking to check out the first book in the series, which I hadn't previously read. This book can standalone as the characters from the first book do make the occasional appearance in this story, but it's not essential to know their story to appreciate this one.
My favourite funny bit was when Simon managed to set fire to meatloaf in his oven. Recommended for lovers of MPreg Omega-verse romance. A nice way to spend an afternoon or a car journey.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.

Bellows has created a unique non-shifter Mpreg universe and I really enjoyed the very thorough and well thought out details in The Bookmobile Baby.
These are wonderful characters and my heart went out to these two men. Simon, who wants nothing more than to become a dad, and who has physical limitations which prevent that from happening. And Art, who has the biggest heart ever, who lost the love of his life five years ago and has given up on ever having love in his life again.
Though this is the second book in the series, I did not read The Accidental Everything and had no trouble following along. I'll definitely be looking to read Rhett and Isaac's story as soon as I can though.

Simon is such a sweet character who has an underlying sadness because he doesn't think he can have the children he so desperately wants. Art isn't in any way a typical Alpha and is therefore very accepting of Simon. Not that there aren't plenty of problems on the way to a HEA.
This book is longer than the last, so the storyline is more detailed. I love the descriptions such as Simon's interactions with children who visit the library and the children's books that he collects. Art's relationship with his deceased husband Dean and the intricacies of their bonding are other examples. I ended up having to buy my own copy of the book!
The narration by Barney Parkwynne is, once again, very good. The pace is just right and I love how smooth his voice is. He captures Simon and Art beautifully.
