This is packed full of fun as Miller and Claire work through their problems to seek their happily ever after! Miller’s sister is getting married and to prevent the onslaught of dat3es his other will set him up with, he decides to bring a fake date. Who better than Claire, the woman who works for him? Claire has been working her butt off for three years now, on the path to promotion. She is tough, stubborn and brilliant when it comes to marketing, and has done well by her boss. But when it comes to being friends with him, that is far off. The offer is too good to pass up and she goes as his date and the two find out there is more to each other than they realized. But is this enough for Miller? Will work always win out over love? Their feelings are tested and it doesn’t look good for their future. Or does it? I loved this for the enemies to lovers aspect. I loved it for the strong woman willing to do what it takes to succeed aspect. And I especially loved it for the way it all comes out in the end. This is the perfect weekend listen and made mine a pleasure!

Teddy Hamilton and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker bring this gem to life with their amazing story telling. Hamilton comes in full force as Miller. Confident, smart, good looking and vulnerable underneath. Nemeth-Parker is Claire with a strong constitution, a building confidence and a heart that would not let him go. I love this team, they work seamlessly together and made my day.

Adored Miller and Claire's story the first time round I read it. This was a thoroughly enjoyable 're-read' and I loved being surprised by the storyline again, as it's been a few years since I read the book.

Claire is strong, courageous and confident. She's not afraid to push her boundaries. She's a good person and generally only has people's best interests at heart. Miller has been burnt by love in the past, which makes it difficult for him to trust women. In his heart, he knows Claire is one of the good ones and one mistake cost him his happiness - a happiness he wasn't even looking for. However, I loved how hard he fought for her when she was back in his life. Their story was sweet, super sexy, amusing and also emotional.

Teddy and Stephanie do a brilliant job of bringing them to life. I loved listening to their voices. Thoroughly recommend.

Wow, nothing but love for this romantic comedy, I am not sure how Claudia Burgoa does it, but I always have a new favorite character or two every time I finish one of her books. This enemies-to-lover romcom has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and romance, and is captivating from start to end. The characters are relatable, easy to connect with and care about, easy to fall in love with too. Miller is busy running his company, his meddlesome mother wants him to settle down and keeps trying to set him up with dates. His sister’s wedding approaching and in attempts to keep her off of his back, he blurts out that he has a girlfriend, which backfires on him because now his mother wants him to bring her to the wedding, a destination wedding in Cancun. After making some calls, he gets someone to act as his fake girlfriend for some vacation time in Cancun, except he gets stood up and then he sees her, Claire, and comes up with another plan. Claire was going on a much needed vacation with friends, she almost did not make because her mother kept her on the phone and then her job needed updates and files, but she gets to the airport in time. And it turned out to be her lucky day, she gets upgraded to first class, but her ran out, what was supposed to be a vacant seat next to her turns to be her boss’ boss’ seat and she wants nothing to do with him or work. But he has other plans and a proposition for her, she give him the weekend for another vacation in the future, since she has the rest of the week to spend with her friends, she takes him up on his offer. Now they need to pull it off convincingly to his family, which they have no problem doing because the chemistry between them is electric. Miller met his match in Claire, and the time they spent together was magical, until it all went wrong, promises were made and broken and he let work get in the way which let to life getting in the way. There is never a dull moment in this wonderfully written and plotted story, the witty dialogue is brilliant and the characters are amazing, both the lead and secondary characters. It all went all went wrong for Claire and Miller the first time, he screwed up and knows it, will he get a second chance with he or will his forever love turn into a forever rivalry, Miller has his work cut out for him, I will only say, wow and superbly done Claudia Burgoa!! Thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Their portrayal of the characters was spot-on, I love how they took each role and owned it, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them in their performance. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.
