This series captures the lives and loves of the members of the band Total Chaos. Each story could be listened on its own, but is best listened in order as each story dovetails nicely into the next one.

This story covers Braxton and Kaylee, former high school lovers separate by time, distance, and circumstance. Braxton continues to carry a torch for Kaylee, simultaneously hating her for what appears to be a terrible betrayal. Kaylee is struggling to break into marketing, but spoiled pop star nearly ruins her career. Total Chaos gives her a new opportunity to go on tour with them and handle their public relations. Braxton is not happy, and wants Kaylee to pay for his pain and hurt.

The truth begins to come to light, and the perceived betrayal is complicated and layered. The second-chance romance was pure delight. The narrators were fantastic and the story completely sucked me in.

This series is an amazing listen.

Silent Chaos is a second chance romance that will pull at your heartstrings at times. Kaylee and Braxton were high school sweethearts with big plans for their future until everything went sideways and they find themselves on opposite sides of the country and Braxton completely hates Kaylee for breaking his heart. Braxton goes on to make it as a drummer in a famous band and eventually Kaylee ends up joining up with the band as part of her job, though neither she or Braxton are happy about this new development. Though time has passed and both have grown, some hurts are too tough to get beyond and Braxton has really held on to his grief and makes Kaylee suffer in the process.

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The narration was fantastic. Avery Reid and Gideon Frost both did a remarkable job bringing forth all of the emotions this story warranted. I love a good second chance romance and this one had some solid plusses. Overall, I did really like Braxton and Kaylee though I did struggle with both of their behavior at times (mostly Braxton). I did find myself rooting for them and their happily ever after. I did not read the first book in this series but now I wish I had so I definitely want to go back and check it out, along with the follow on book and the ending left me a little sad for the next book but definitely intrigued. #TheFlock #PInkFlamingoProductions

Silent Chaos, the second book in the Love & Lyrics series, is a marvellously written second-chance Rockstar romance. Nikki Ash never disappoints; she is a super-talented author, writing phenomenal and invigorating stories with unforgettable characters. Kaylee and Braxton's story is amazing; immediately, I was fascinated by their past connection, estranged high school sweethearts. Their passionate dynamics and blazing and angsty chemistry pulled me in. I found them authentic, magnetic, turbulent, and captivating. As teenagers, they were hopelessly in love, but one heart-wrenching event changed their lives. As adults, Kaylee and Braxton are splintered; they are the broken piece of the one single missing puzzle piece. Each bears the weight of trauma and lets it manifest differently. The only way to heal is to reconnect and glue the broken puzzle piece together. Their journey is an emotional rollercoaster, gripping, raw, intense, beautiful, messy, and hot. Some parts of the story deal with darker topics with the potential for triggers, so heed the warnings. Silent Chaos is riveting; a lot happens throughout the story, and the ending is perfect, leaving me wanting more.

The narration is outstanding. Avery Reid and Gideon Frost performed flawlessly. They captured the essence of the characters, and the emotions were perfectly emulated. They did a terrific job connecting the audience with Kaylee and Braxton. Silent Chaos is an unforgettable story, and Nikki Ash couldn't have picked a more suitable title. It's an epic ride on the twisty road of heartbreak and love. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and one I'll highly recommend.

This author sure knows how to toy with my emotions. Her characters are humanly Flawed and to see them get their HEAs after struggles brings a tear to my eye every time. It was a joy to read despite the heavy dose of angst and drama contained within. I cannot wait for more from this series.

Wow, these rockers certainly know how to party. With these really good characters and a great intriguing storyline, I really enjoyed this book. I’m looking forward to the rest of the bands stories as I feel there is a lot more excitement to come. A fantastic performance from both narrators.

Silent Chaos - Book 2 of Love and Lyrics Series

Braxton and Kaylee's story is an emotional journey with plenty of drama and sexy times. A second-chance rockstar romance with some serious enemies to lovers moments, there were moments I wasn't a huge fan of either but overall this was an enjoyable listen. Secrets are uncovered from their past break up and then the continuation of someone trying to break them apart. Their connection and chemistry was undeniable and I was rooting for them to work through all the situations holding them back from a great love.

This story felt a little chaotic to me, but was still easy to follow. Once I really got into the book I was able to really enjoy it. The author brought me to rage a few times, but I did enjoy the story. The narration fit the story well.

I enjoyed this book I didn't like it as much as the first book but it was still enjoyable good story and characters, while it's a standalone it fors end with a bit of a cliffhanger for the next book in the series I'll definitely be checking that one out.

Nikki Ash does it again. What does she do? She pulls my heart into a story and doesn't let go! This is Braxton's story, and it's emotional! He and Kaylee were high school sweethearts. Ready to give up his dreams to stay with her, she does the unthinkable and the next thing you know, they are apart and he is on the road with the band. Now six years later, she has been hired to do the marketing for the band and is on the road. Will these two be able to be together? Will his anger and pain win out and make her leave? Will her heart be able to deal with his cruelness? This story has a little bit of everything. Braxton is finding his past haunting him, not only with Kaylee. His emotions are all on edge, and his feelings are confused. Kaylee is harboring a secret that will blow up so much. Her heart is aching and life is not going according to her dreams. Ash knows how to pull me into her books and invest all my feelings. I needed to know how things were going play out, each scene building like a crescendo. When it hit the mark, it all came out. Love this installment to the Love & Lyrics series and can't wait to hear Gage's story.

Avery Reid and Gideon Frost are wonderful story tellers and this story has it all. Reid plays Kaylee with all her pain, fear and love oozing out of her. I could feel her hesitancy as she begins her job, and the feelings she still has for Brax. Frost has a warmth in voice that I love, and as Brax, he uses it so well. He is able to let his emotions flow through as each scene unfolds. Great team and enjoyable performance.

Although they were only teenagers at the time Braxton couldn’t imagine a future without Kaylee so feeling betrayed by her actions, he was devastated. He never wanted to see her again so years later when he finds out she is handling PR for his band he wants to make the situation as uncomfortable as he can for her until past secrets are revealed.

Through no fault of her own Kaylee’s last job has derailed her career so working for Raging Chaos is a second chance however that also means working with Braxton. She knows he blames her for the destruction of their relationship, but she had her reasons. The chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever but will it be enough to overcome the pain of the past?

Seeing Braxton and Kaylee find their way back to each other was everything you could want and more and was filled with angst as they tried to heal from the past and the turmoil it caused. The narrators were a perfect choice for the characters as they brought out everything that the characters were feeling as well as the intense love they have for each other. 🎧Audiobook Obsession
