Exciting mystery
I thoroughly enjoyed this tale. The main protagonist is a retired SAS officer who is suffering from PTSD and whilst he is slowly recovering he is working as a teacher in a private school in a rural village, a position secured by his family.
A group of students and local girls are attacked one night, apparently by a legendary local dog, which glows at night.
Investigating, with a female teacher, he uncovers a rather unpleasant conspiracy and needs to us all the skills he learned in the SAS to bring it to a halt.
This is an exciting listen, the narration is generally quite good, although the narrator does tend to make female characters sound like rather upper class women from an Agatha Christie novel set in the 1920s.

Another ripping Jake Crowley thriller!
Picking up the pieces after leaving the British SAS, Jake Crowley takes up a history teaching position at an exclusive private school in Sussex. Strange things have been happening in the village but when Jake starts to ask questions, he receives a hostile reception from the village and the school. Despite being a shorter novella, this gripping mystery / adventure packs a substantial punch as Jake uncovers a violent secret society and systemic criminal activity. As a prequel, we are given a taster of Jake’s specialised skills and training as well as the injury and trauma that led to his military discharge and we are introduced to Rose Black before she meets Jake. Jonathan Waters ramps up the excitement and tension with his excellent audio narration - loved his regional UK accents!

good story
very good story line and loved to roman links.
i feel the end was abit thin though.
explanations should of included the grieving mother and the cannabis farm should of been raided and the local police should of been found to be accountable too with descriptions of them being caught out and lead away too.
