Absolutely loved this book, had seen the film so many times and loved it, but listening to this version was great could not bare to pause it, listened to it while doing tasks around the house I usually hate doing, but the story line being a bit different from the film kept me interested.

I have this story on D.V.D.,and have watched it many times as I love it so much.The twist near the end gets me every time.I never saw that coming,even though I was beginning to wonder.

I'm new to audiobooks.All I can say is that personally,I found the book far more gripping than the film.I'd never even heard of Nicholas Sparks until now.Wow! What an amazing author.So descriptive. I had no idea that he also wrote 'A walk to remember'(brillaint film--cried buckets),and 'The Notebook',which I've not seen.I have now bought two more of his books.I couldn't stop listening to 'Safe Haven',so much so that I finished it in a couple of days.
I'm shielding at present,so these books are a real a Godsend.
I thoroughly recommend this book.

Beautifully written. A story that really draws you in so much so that you almost feel a part of it. Quite a number of breath holding moments too. Highly recommend.

I don't write reviews, but I felt compelled to write about this particular book. It is written beautifully. I could not put it down and spent most of my weekend listening to it. I have listened to several audible books and this is by far the best yet. The narration is very well done, in fact, probably the best I've listened to as of yet, subtle and believable. The book holds you right to the very end and I am so pleased that I found this author and novel.
