I have to say Benedict I’d great as Rumpole but do not like the actress as Hilda, she screeches her way through the stories. Sorry but won’t get any more of these books they are terrible

The casting is very poor - both Rumpole and Hilda are older and more colourful than they are portrayed here. Very disappointed

However a major change to the plot of the overarching story was not in character for Rumpole at all and spoiled it for me.
