With less than a week 'til my last minute holiday I bought this title in the hope of picking up the very basics. Learning languages has never come easily to me but in just a few days I had learned enough to confidently make myself understood. Believe me, I was amazed at how well this system worked.
I am now working on the Italian title in preparation for my next holiday - this time I have a couple of months to learn - and am enjoying every minute.

Great for picking up phrases and oft used words. I thought I was too old to learn a new language but when my son settled with a South American partner I thought maybe I should try. It was surprisingly easy and enjoyable with this audio book. I found the rhythmic music very helpful.

I listened to this in the car on my way to and from work. I learned how to ask for a table for two well over a week ago, and I'm still remembering it! This is quite impressive!
The CD will need a few more listens until it all sticks in my head this well, but based on the amount of information that I've retained just from a single run-through, I am highly impressed with this title. I may try others in the series!

I've been trying to learn Spanish for over a year now and this audiobook has really helped. Everyone learns in their own way and this really works for me. I love the nice relaxed style of learning and the narrator's voices are very soothing. My advice is to keep listening to the chapters over and over rather than purposefully trying to learn after listening to it the first time around. After a while, the earworm will set in. Now I hear the words when I'm drifting off to sleep! I'll buy all the Spanish books in this set, I hope they produce more.

Different approach to the hundreds of other Spanish CDs and Audibles. I have used others and have made quite good progress with my Spanish. This really helped with pronunciation and embedded certain key phrases. Going to download the next 2 in the series of Audibles.

So far I have learnt more from my French ones than my Spanish ones and I have been to Spain more times than France but I learnt French at school.

It really helps to have the schoolkid knowledge and to work up from that. I will leave my spanish learning here and revisit this book.

I didn't feel the need to go on to the second book just yet.

Buy if you are about to go Spain and have no or very little knowledge of Spanish and like the idea of music and learning in a sort of slightly hypnotic way.

I can now ask for drinks and order food in Spanish...it's a start, so I will keep listening to this audio book and build my confidence to try out new phrases whilst on holiday.

My Spanish is a little better than the people this book is aimed at, but I thought it would be interesting. I quite liked it and (if I was a complete beginner) I would have got more from it. The repetitive style and musical background sometimes grates, but the language is well spoken and clear. You'll pick up some Spanish, but move onto other levels fast and it might get a little expensive.
