I’ve listened to a LOT of LitRPG/GameLit books. This is something different. A very enjoyable story and fresh compared to so many similar concepts/stories out there. Top notch voice performance too. Couldn’t stop listening. Keen for the next in the series now.

A strong start to a new series with a likeable MC who isn't a push-over. Good narration and pacing (after I turned the speed up to x1.15). Will buy the next book.

The MC felt realistic enough with a good line between being a murder hobo and a perpetually nice guy. World is interesting and writing seems good so far. Looking forward to the second book

This is one of the best most well written interesting universes I've come across. This is history k the making.

The first half to two-thirds of the book was pretty good. A decent character. A decent backstory. An interesting world. Then it went downhill pretty fast because of the constant repeating of the same information over and over again, and little gems like "Luckily, none of the arrows hit- But then, one of the arrows hit".

It seems like the first half of the book got real attention and care, then the latter half was just thrown out there. Overall, it's good, but frustrating.

It's good, until its not.
