About this listen

Reivyn has a secret.

Not only does he have the memories of his past life, but his ability to acquire stats and skills is unparalleled.

Reivyn led a simple life in his village, until the Count's men came knocking. Conscripted to fight against an Orc horde before unlocking a class, he needs to be extraordinary to survive. The Count is throwing child soldiers against the incoming horde to blunt the assault, knowing most of them will be chewed up and spat out.

The story and narration are really good in the first third of the book, but after that point it steadily becomes generic. The worst parts are the last three hours, where the entire plot is spelled out for people who have never read a fantasy book before and can't connect the dots. Then it gets worse when the parents of the MCproudly reveal how dumb and irresponsible they are by straight-up telling their ten-year-old child, who was somehow conscripted into the army at the ripe age of nine, that he was never in any real danger, even though he was almost beaten to death, stabbed by an assassin twice, and almost turned into a demon — just to name a few.
