Good story

Great story, good characters but the “aha”’s were incredibly annoying and slightly ruined it. You’ll understand as soon as you listen!!!

Just a wonderful book

A story unlike any other of Lisa Jewell’s books. Totally different but enjoyed the new direction of the twists and turns it gives. I hope there are more of these to come. A little gem.
The performance of it was excellent no annoying parts at all, superb in fact, can’t fault anything.

Loved it. A heart wrenching, tragic yet beautiful tale

I find it sad that so many people have given this book low ratings, saying it isn’t Lisa’s best work, etc. it’s almost like some people can’t listen to books unless they’re full of gory death, deceitful behaviour and narcissistic destruction. Which makes me sad.
This story is a unique tale, and every time I thought something obvious was going to happen, to my utter delight it didn’t. Brilliantly written, fantastically narrated and a feel good ending. What’s not to love?

Not my favourite Lisa Jewell book.

I’ve loved every LJ book I’ve read, but found this one very slow compared to the others.

It had a nice warm ending, but was a bit of a slog to get there.

Fantastic narrating

Great story, the narrator did a great job as each character was entirely individual. Thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook.

good

This author is great I plan to read all her books S usual it was an interesting story but I have one criticism... Lesbians are mentioned so many times in a pretty derogatory way which really puts me off.

Not her best

Didn’t really enjoy this one, it was so different to her others, not very sophisticated. Then I looked at the date and it was written in 2000. Needless to say the author has improved massively over the years. I’ll stick with her more recent stuff. Will be returning the book.

Narrator issues ruined it for me

My least favourite of Lisa Jewell’s books. I think this was mostly down to the narrator though. Unusual, lengthy pauses, male voices all similarly irritating and “romantic” scene just odd the way it was narrated.
