the story was quite engaging and the pacing was quite good, the interesting aspects of the character made the overall story quite engaging

I totally enjoyed this book. I loved the whole underdog story unlike most other LITRPG you can't help but feel for the kid and I found myself rooting for him and his mom.
I would happily recommend this book 10/10, I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

I was looking for a book to satisfy my needs after finishing ready player one. I came across The Occultist and was in for a huge treat! This audio book is narrated excellently and the book is very hard to stop listening to. At the time listening to the book I fell ill and this book really was an amazing story to take all my attention away! The only down side is you will not want to stop listening to this audio book!
