About this listen

Scandal meets sizzle when a runaway bride’s quick getaway lands her in the arms of her almost-groom’s rival, but he has more than business on his mind when he makes her an offer she can’t refuse.

Your wedding day is meant to be the happiest day of your life. Not the day you discover your groom is a cheating jerk.

When I run, strong arms catch me. It’s just a shame they belong to my ex’s nemesis, Oliver Deubel. Rich and powerful, the man is sin in a suit. He’s also arrogant, demanding, and infuriatingly irresistible.

When my wedding disaster goes viral and deportation hangs over my head, Oliver offers me a deal: help him ruin my ex in exchange for my visa. The fine print? Move in with him.

I want to laugh in his face, until I discover how ruthless he is. So I decide to repay him by making his life a living hell, and he retaliates by…being nice to me. Which is where things become really weird as lines blur and pretend suddenly begins to feel real.

But Oliver is no Romeo, and only a fool would fall for him.

Worryingly, I think that fool might be me.

Enjoyable but awful english accents

As someone from England, I find that when an American attempts an English accent for narration, it can detract from the overall experience it made me wince at points. The story itself is charming,

Another excellent read from Donna Alam

Oliver, billionaire with a stick up his backside and enough emotional baggage to last a hundred lifetimes.
Eve or Evie or Evelyn! How many names can one girl have? Finds out on her wedding day that her betrothed has the morals of an alley cat in heat and having put him firmly in his place in a very public way, she falls, quite literally, into Oliver’s lap - no shoes and only a wedding dress to her name. And that’s just the beginning!!

I loved the push and pull between these two and how Eve’s kindness rubs off on Oliver - but like most billionaires with his head stuck where the sun doesn’t shine, he has no real sense of the real world and in trying to do something generous and thoughtful, he completely screws up in the most hilarious way possible.

I love ‘Bo’ and cried with laughter when he pee’d up Oliver’s leg.

Another fab book, thank you Donna Alam, you always leave me with a smile on my face.

Incredibly likeable rom com

This was a free to read and listen with Kindle Unlimited membership!

I love Donna Alam book, so to have the free audiobook was fantastic.

A superb, funny romantic comedy with a big fat HEA . Loved the plot, twists and all. Very likeable characters, excellently narrated, and a great finish.

Cannot fault. Super quality storytelling again by Donna Alam!

Oliver!

Loved this, a great listen had my hooked following the twists between the two men Oliver & Mitchell with Evie. Evie finds out Mitchell is a cheater and while running in her wedding dress falls into the arms of Oliver his rival. The story unravels with us finding out more about the two guys Evie needing a visa can Oliver help her. They enter an agreement for him to help her with her visa & she helps with a business deal however feelings get involved Mitchell can’t seem to stay away, what will happen by the end of the 3 month agreement. Loved how it unfolded and the funny comments here and there thrown in had me laughing

The humour had me wheezing

This is my first from this author and I'm so glad I went with it. Great plot and characters but the humour literally had me laughing out loud and the scene between Bo and Oliver had me wheezing and snorting !
